I'm curious if anyone else is watching this. For the uninitiated, this is a new Netflix "docuseries" (read: poorly veiled propaganda piece). It's about Hunter Moore and the website IsAnyoneUp.com, a site to post revenge porn. It features the women who ended up on the site, some of whom were "hacked" (through very basic social engineering).
So far I've seen two episodes and I've seen a bunch of whiny women pretending like they're not responsible for putting cell phones into their buttholes for e-fame, ultra-Karen housewives with older husbands pretending they aren't just as big of a whore as their daughters pictured spread eagle on this website, and some soyboy who launched what is essentially the beta version of BullyHunters acting like he was on the team that killed Bin Laden.

Basically, it's a cringe goldmine with people who can't take any responsibility for their own actions while assigning plenty to everyone else.

Thoughts?

something named "The Most Hated Man on the Internet" should be about andrew anglin, not some milquetoast amateur porn leaker

also, i think some girls who get revenge porned are recorded in secret by scumbag boyfriends without their knowledge, that should not be allowed and i feel actually bad for them. but the ones who willingly create porn of themselves and send it to other people, then whine when it ends up in the wrong hands, those i have little sympathy for.

I'm kinda in the same boat. I grew up with dumb cell phones, but from what I hear, the kids aren't alright when it comes to having smart phones. The amount of child porn floating around in middle schooler's pockets would make Jared from Subway blush, from what I'm told about how early kids get into sexual activity and how open they are about it. The guys trade nudes of their classmates at recess like we traded Pokemon cards. I think I was the first one in my class to dance with a girl in 6th grade, and I don't think anyone had an actual "girlfriend" until 8th, but I'm using that term very loosely.

Anyway, I wish there was a better way to teach these young girls responsibility for their actions, but from what I've gleaned from this show, women are never responsible for their actions. Not even the main guy's ex-girlfriend will take responsibility; she's all like "he's so charismatic he basically manipulated me into dating him for 3 years...". A lot of the girls in the show claim they never sent their photos to anyone but, as the President would say: "C'MON MAN..."

You wouldn't have taken them if you didn't intend for someone to see them...

People do take pics for their own enjoyment, not necessarily for other people.

For those that voluntarily sent / posed for pics for the site, they wanted their 2 mins of fame and got it. I have sympathy for those who were hacked and their pics ending up on the site without their permission. They didn't ask for the attention they got.

He's a nasty, arrogant arsehole so it was good to see him hacked and jailed. The highlight for me was learning what "Anonymous" did with his $$$, declaring him "dead" for a month was a hoot.

There are a couple of funny moments:

1) The bullyhunter guy is pure cringe and it's hilarious how much of a dork he is.

2) Kayla Laws' photos were obtained in a hack because she took so many she filled up her phone and sent them to her email to free up space, which was compromised in a social engineering scam.

3) Charlotte Laws is a certifiable lunatic who gained 15 minutes of fame (in what seems like the late 80s) for stalking celebrities and crashing parties, then writing books about it. While I understand her going full Karen for her daughter, it was very clear she was getting off on the attention this was getting her and it wasn't about helping the other victims, it was about being seen helping the victims.

4) Butthole Girl, however, takes the cake for stupidity in this documentary:

Destiny Benedict, aka Butthole Girl, is a very retarded special person who posted photos of herself on isanyoneup in an effort to promote her webcam. So a camwhore tried to promote her cam on the site where people post nudes, then make fun of the people in the photos, and goes full shocked pikachu face when the site treats her EXACTLY THE SAME AS ANYONE ELSE WHOSE NUDES ARE POSTED ON THE SITE. Her Facebook is added to the site along with nudes and photos of her with her kids.

In a retarded brilliant move, Butthole Girl then goes on to offer to put more things up her butt to try to convince Hunter Moore to take down personal photos (that included her with her kids) from isanyoneup, which he did. Despite that, at some point Butthole Girl's childrens' fathers (yes, plural) found out about her webcam work and realized that since she was publicly working in internet porn she might not be the best person to raise them, and was able to get her kids away from her. While sad for her, considering how monumentally stupid she is this is most likely the best thing for the kids.

After having her kids taken away she starts sad posting all over the place and then goes on Skype with Hunter and shoves her fist up her ass at his prompting and she is SOMEHOW SURPRISED he recorded her doing this and posted the video online. Poor Butthole Girl claims to have never made money by degrading herself for Hunter, though he did offer to send her a free t-shirt.

That story is the highlight of the documentary.
