Every day, roughly 70 million users log in to Roblox. Some simply want to play games, others are looking for new friends, and a small-but-growing community of users join the #1 app in the US for kids and teens for the sole purpose of... jacking off. Welcome to the Roblox ERP community.
Roblox's ERP Crisis
Roblox's ERP problem began in the mid 2010's as a quiet whisper. Over the next decade, this whisper would slowly grow into a blood curdling scream, audible from every corner of the platform. The ERP problem is now unavoidable. The longer you spend on the site, the more likely you are to witness one of these users begging children for their Discord usernames. These "people" spend nearly every day searching the platform for people to sext or trade nudes with, oftentimes including child porn. Bloomberg Businessweek recently uncovered Dark Web communities where predators discuss methods for coercing children into sending CSAM, with the site's currency—Robux—being the primary form of payment. In one case, Clinton McElroy, a 48-year-old registered sex offender in Ellis, Kansas, met an 8-year-old girl on Roblox in 2020. He traded thousands of Robux for more than 20 explicit images and videos she’d shot of herself using her iPad. In one exchange, he wrote, “I can tell your not really into this.” She responded, “Anything for Robux.”
Many of them have created alt accounts for the specific purpose of attracting other ERPers. These are known as "ERP Accounts." They can easily be identified by their sexualized profiles, with names like "czmdzmpster" and bios advertising the types of sexting they're into.

ERP Accounts
The typical ERPer is one of two demographics:- Pedophiles with severe porn addictions
- Underage grooming victims, also with severe porn addictions

Roblox's moderation team has put forth a disgustingly lazy effort to solve this problem. The current state of affairs has galvanized many users, including myself, to invent DIY moderation tools that uncover troves of these accounts. Lists of ERP accounts several thousands of lines long have been put together and sent to moderation, only to be completely ignored. My safety advocacy group, Moderation For Dummies, conducted an experiment that found out of 100 obvious ERP accounts reported to Roblox, ZERO were removed as a result of our reports. (L/A) The platform could easily rid themselves of this problem by hiring a single employee to go through and clear these accounts every day, but Roblox is too defiant to even acknowledge it.
The only cure to this plague, which introduces thousands of children to porn every day, is to spread awareness until the company can no longer ignore it. This thread serves to dissect Roblox's ERP problem, and the company's response to it.
What does an ERP account look like?
ERP accounts come in many shapes and sizes. The easiest way to spot them is to look for suggestive terminology and codewords in their usernames and bios. An anti-ERP programmer put together an extensive list of keywords to look for. I've attached this list as a txt file so readers of this thread can use it in their own programs. These terms alone may not be enough to confirm if an account is an ERPer. Oftentimes ERP accounts will have innocent/misleading names and bios, but other clues can reveal their true intentions. They almost always have friends lists full of other ERP accounts, or they're in groups filled with the same.

Username: Enn_Tyrone (L/A) Given that raceplay is the most common fetish among ERPers, it's common to see accounts that parody blackness with names like "Tyrone". Additionally, this user's favorite games are typical for an ERP account. "Public Bathroom Simulator" is a hive for these types of accounts, as are "Vibe" games like USD. The [WIP] game even uses cropped Roblox porn as the thumbnail. In his badges you can see rewards from other grooming hubs like "(dommy mommy's) heyyy wsp Im really sus add me if you are too!!))

Username: PetiteInnocent_femmy (L/A) Like the previous account, this one is also exclusively in ERP groups, including [ Content Deleted 34458835 ]. This group is explained further down. The friends list is also full of accounts like "16yrbull, (L/A)" "DownForIt24, (L/A)" and an ERP account oddly named "wojak. (L/A)" Note the morse code being used to conceal part of the bio from Roblox mods. "I PREFER STUDIO" refers to sex games that are loaded in Roblox's development software, Roblox studio. Publicly uploading sex games risks them being flagged by Roblox's automod, but loading a sex game with the Team Create feature in Roblox studio bypasses this.My name pretty much sums it up~ Looking for a dom who can own me :3 I’m small and poundable~ no preferences when it comes to gender…. -.-- --- ..- -. --. --..-- / .. -. -. --- -.-. . -. - / .- -. -.. / .--. . - .. - . / ..-. . -- -... --- -.-- .-.-.- / .-.. --- --- -.- .. -. --. / ..-. --- .-. / .- / -- --- -- -- -.-- --..-- / -- .- ... - . .-. --..-- / --- .-. / -.. .- -.. -.. -.-- / - --- / --- .-- -. / -- . .-.-.- / .. / -.. --- -. .-..-. - / - .-. .- -.. . / ... --- -.-. .. .- .-.. ... / --- .-. / .--. .. -.-. ... --..-- / .- -. -.. / .. / .--. .-. . ..-. . .-. / ... - ..- -.. .. --- --..-- / -... ..- - / .. / -.. --- -. .-..-. - / .... .- ...- . / .. - .-.-.- -.--.- / --- .--. . -. / - --- / .- --. . .--. .-.. .- -.-- --..-- / .-. --- .-.. . .--. .-.. .- -.-- --..-- / --- .-. / .- -. -.-- - .... .. -. --. .-.-.-

Username: ANewAltAndUser (L/A) Not every ERP account is obvious. For many, the only indicator is their groups and friends. This account is in five pages of ERP groups and has friends lists similar to the previous two. Roblox's moderation team consistently struggles to delete accounts like these, even when evidence is clearly and concisely explained to them in reports.New account owner

These three accounts are a drop in the bucket compared to the rest of the ERP community. I've started an initiative to get thousands of these accounts banned by posting censored lists of them to Twitter every day. You can find the first of these lists here. Note that there's over 5,000 accounts. The urls for these profile have the last digit of the user ID censored to stop the lists from being used as directories by bad actors. If you use trial and error, you can find each profile on this list in about 15 seconds on average. As these profiles are deleted, they're excluded from future lists. New profiles are added as they're found.
What does an ERP group look like?
Most ERPers find each other by joining groups full of like-minded players. Sometimes these groups are started and abandoned by innocent players, only to be raided by ERP accounts later on. A small minority of them are created by and for the ERP community. In any case, these groups serve as directories, virtual phone books where ERP accounts can find each other. Some have group walls accessible to all members where users will advertise what types of services they offer. The messages posted here are visible to all users, regardless of age. Even if parental controls disable access to these, any child can regain access by simply logging out.
[ Content Deleted 34458835 ] Formerly "Bleach anime fan roleplay" (L/A)
This is a great example of a dedicated ERP group. The group's icon, a queen of hearts, is a raceplay fetish symbol (a). Roblox's poorly trained moderators have overlooked this detail, yet had no problem deleting the group's former name ("Bleaching" is another raceplay fetish term (a)) while leaving the group itself unbanned, even letting it reach 3,800+ members. Roblox ERPers almost exclusively communicate sexual interests with codewords like these to avoid being flagged by the site's text filter. This filter is occasionally updated to catch common terminology, but ERPers can instantly find replacement terms, rendering the filter useless.
The owner of this group is an ERPer themselves, and even writes on the group wall tips for not getting banned. Note that while the group wall is restricted to group admins, the group itself still serves the ERP community by serving as a directory. ERPers looking for users to sext or trade CSAM with use the members list to search for like-minded players.

EXCLUSIVEE-BHADDIEZZ (L/A)
This group began as an innocent clothing store, but since the owner's termination over a month ago it's been flooded with ERP accounts. The group wall in this one is open to all users, and has hundreds of messages from ERPers advertising everything from sexting and condo games, to child prostitution and CSAM trading. The lack of an owner means these accounts will never be exiled from the group itself, and the only possible solution is for Roblox's nearly absent moderation team to lock it and terminate the inappropriate accounts.
Messages on the wall show the group was mostly inactive from its creation in 2020 to 2023. The first ERP message can be seen in June 2024, followed by an explosion of ERP activity starting from July onward. When one ERP account joins a group, others will follow them until it's almost exclusively populated by ERPers. Many of these users post their Discord usernames, leading children off-platform where they can be sent completely unfiltered images, files, and text. Huge swaths of ERPers simply write "Bio", encouraging others to view their sexually composed profiles.

Again, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Hundreds of these groups remain active on the site at any given moment, resulting in thousands of children being exposed to adult content every day.

Conclusion
Roblox is facilitating child exploitation on a level never seen before in human history. As long as the company continues to ignore this issue, thousands of children will continue to be groomed into developing porn addictions through a platform advertised as safe for all ages. Roblox has the means and the funds to solve the ERP crisis, but refuses to do so unless it affects their bottom line. It's up to us to build enough pressure to convince management to bring user safety to the level it's advertised at. If you'd like to support the initiative to expose this issue, follow @ModForDummies on Twitter, where lists of these accounts are posted every day until Roblox removes them.Attachments
