Oh holy Lord of all creation,
Of water, earth, and sky,
At thy command the countless stars shone,
At your word the numberless planets came out of naught.
The vastness we call "space" is so very great
And our space-ships are so very small.
This, our greatest achievement, is as nothing against your great works,
And at this hour we ask you, ruler of all things seen and unseen,
Deliver our bravest souls safely back to this little blue-and-green ball,
Upon which you made the waters, beasts and then your greatest creation, MAN, in your very image.
