Yo when they gunna open the overview map to plot the maneuver node. I wouldn't trust myself to get the elliptical orbit without it

There has to be a short list of who is going to land on the moon right? I’m already thinking black woman and some European because god forbid they do it the right way.

First mission back to the moon after 50 years happening on April Fools day is a cosmic joke only God can write.

I hope the secret moon base waves back at least.

Incorrect, it hasn't glitched out yet

It just works!

>30 years
try 50. Space shuttle was cool and had some good innovations but really when it comes to pushing the envelope on exploration it did not.
Very fair point, probably should have said 50 or 60 years, half a century at least. The Shuttle had a noble goal [a reusable launch vehicle able to carry largeish payloads into LEO] but it sadly ended up being, by and large, a waste of time. Plus we lost fucking two of them, one of which was very, very easily preventable [Challenger]. Columbia was honestly just kinda fucked from the moment that foam panel fell though. A rescue mission was theoretically possible if we'd understood how much the heatshield was compromised, but it would have been extremely costly.

It's always been sad to me that private fucking companies are now the cutting edge of spaceflight, not that I oppose what they're doing or dislike it, but NASA should be ahead of them by at least a little bit. But we like to throw good money after bad too much to provide the funds they need I suppose.
