The ironic thing is me saying people just operate on emotions when I'm doing the same all the time. We're all hypocrites.
Well that's where integrity comes in. We all have emotional reactions, things we're fans or, things we dislike. But if you have some self-respect and honesty, you stop yourself from distorting things or saying things actually not true.

Anyway, they're fucking with the Start menu yet again...

Also looks like they might be re-introducing the Windows 8 Start Screen approach only this time more cramped and with extra wasted space. And this is from someone who liked the Start Screen.

All people want for Barjeet to do here, is to take that "Show all" bit, take what displays when you click it, and keep it shown to the left of the start menu.

Something that Windhawk mods already do. Seriously. Just do this, boom, 90% of user complaints of 11's start menu are gone. One has to wonder why is it that Microsoft UI designers hate doing what people want so much.

Why can't they just make this for the Start Menu?

Simple, no wasted space, right to the point.

Too old fashioned. Besides, one thing that Windows 10's start menu did right was to have the program list opened up by default. Every other start menu had it hidden away, Windows 8/8.1 being the worst offender where it wasn't even a clearly visible option in that tiled mess.
Windows 7. I want Windows 7.
Nah, give me Windows 2000. Spartan UI, no frills, just a raw stable base to launch my software off of.

The vast majority of all tech problems are caused by new people thinking they know better trashing decades of incremental improvements, experience and well-established paradigms, being utterly convinced in their delusion that the "old way" is shit and they can do it better (they cannot, and will quickly hit a wall because things are never that simple, or upset all of their users, just look at the absurd idea of moving the start button by default). Windows division always suffered a lot from it, it's not an honorable one nor has been their money maker for a long time, they got a good beat down with omega-13, but Sinofsky won with 8 and the unified UI plan, and the rest is history, 10 had to fix their mistakes trying to do multiple things and none of them well.

No, the majority of all tech problems are caused by a manager with a metric they're looking to bump so they can be promoted.

No, the majority of all tech problems are caused by a jeet manager with a impossible metric they're looking to bump so they can get rid of the non-lying jeets.
FTFY,
fucking jeets, man, managers back then were bad because of their jewish greed but jeet managers are somehow worse for less money.

You can cry about it or activate 3 year extension for updates (ESU). Alternatively Windows 10 IoT will be supported until January 2032.
