Considering that it is still not a fully compatible Server 2003 OS, I give it about 150 years until we get Server 2008 half compatibility,So how long until ReactOS becomes viable?
ReactOS has been around for almost 30 years and is still not even a full replacement for old Windows releases. So how long until ReactOS becomes viable?
30 years after Windows has been discontinued and Microsoft has made it open source. So how long until ReactOS becomes viable?

I installed Windows 11 last month and it worked for me. Windows has yet to bother me about not having a Micro$oft account.also no longer exists anyhow afaik
Apparently the one that got yote was a@a.com not the one I saidI installed Windows 11 last month and it worked for me. Windows has yet to bother me about not having a Micro$oft account.
This was mentioned in a video Wendell from L1 Techs did with Steve from Gamer's Nexus. Wendell found the perfect word to describe Windows these days: "adversarial".
Honestly I'll just have a Windows 10 LTS virtual machine for the programs I need that are windows only. As soon as I get a second GPU for my serverThis was mentioned in a video Wendell from L1 Techs did with Steve from Gamer's Nexus. Wendell found the perfect word to describe Windows these days: "adversarial".
How else does one describe it when having noticed large numbers of people are deliberately going out of their way to not register their OS with a Microsoft account the response is not "oh, this is something people want we should make it easier" but "lock it down so they can't".
I genuinely prefer Windows as an OS can could sperg for an hour about why, but I'm going back to what I grew up on, Linux, with my next build which will be soon. It's a tragedy - I'm one of the minority of people who is properly skilled with both Windows and Linux and therefore am great in OS vs OS debates when Linux zealots kick off. But MS is just ruining everything.
you can skip that with rufus when creating a bootable stick, same with the TPM requirement.Having to use a secret bypass to do something that should be a standard option in the menu shouldn't be acceptable
Hackers are using malicious browser extensions to infect both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge with dangerous malware that can steal your personal data and leave your computer at risk of further attacks.
As reported by The Hacker News, this recently discovered malware campaign has been active since 2021 and so far, at least 300,000 Chrome and Edge users have fallen victim to it.
What makes this malware particularly dangerous is the fact that it can achieve persistence on infected PCs. This means that even if you delete the malicious extension, the malware will reactivate itself the next time you restart your computer.
The digitally signed malicious installers used in this campaign register a scheduled task on vulnerable PCs that then executes a PowerShell script which downloads and executes the next-stage payload from a hacker-controlled remote server.
As part of this next-stage payload, the malware modifies an infected PCs Windows Registry to force the installation of Chrome and Edge extensions which are used for ad fraud by hijacking web searches on Google and Bing and then redirecting them through the hackers’ servers. To make matters worse, newer versions of this malware can even prevent browser updates from being installed, putting victims at risk of other attacks.

I recently reinstalled Windows on a separate SSD just for gaming, and when I did that, I also debloated my Windows install. While I was partially doing it for the potential performance benefits, I was surprised by just how much bloat Windows actually ships with. You can use a Tiny11 debloated version of Windows if you'd prefer, but Win11Debloat can manage most of it for you.
If you purchase or build a new computer and install Windows 11 on it, you'll get a lot of software that you might never use. These can include:
Not only that, you'll get a ton of additional "features" throughout the operating system. That includes the Windows 11 context menu that lacks a lot of options, widgets in your taskbar, the chat icon in your taskbar, web results when searching locally on your computer, and more. You'll even get recommended news articles from MSN's home page, which a lot of people simply don't care about.
- TikTok
- Microsoft Teams
- OneNote
- Copilot
- Xbox Game Bar
On top of that, there's some built-in telemetry that many people aren't particularly a fan of when it comes to Windows 11. Stuff like diagnostic data, activity history, app-launch tracking, and targeted ads. On top of that, you'll get tips, tricks, suggestions, and regular advertisements throughout the system. With tools like Win11Debloat, you'll get rid of everything.
Found a workaround that is still retarded but worth not having to deal with windows 11:Turns out windows 10 doesn't support wifi 6 or the 6 GHz band, forced me to upgrade to Windows 11 in order to use it. Absolutely bullshit
Windows 10 does support WiFi 6 but not the 6GHz band. At this point I would just try something else for wireless VR (or give up) but good on you if you got it working.Found a workaround that is still retarded but worth not having to deal with windows 11:
>Buy another wifi 6e router
>Configure it as a bridge that only works on the 6 GHz band
>Connect the router to my computer via Ethernet
>Get the speed/lack of congestion I need plus a standalone router for wireless VR
