More of a general question about the writing "sphere" than it is about writing itself, but what are Kiwis' opinions on tying anonymous work to an account for "legitimate" purposes?
To clarify: I'm considering consolidating a lot of writing I've done in the past ~6-7 years onto one account specifically so that I can use it as part of a creative resume. This writing is currently completely anonymous, with no attachment to me outside of my knowing that I wrote it, and it's scattered across four or five disparate sources that are very hard to trace back to me (outside of my writing style, which I didn't make much attempt to disguise). It is also derivative work, often made within a short timespan, and not all of it is work I'd say I'm proud of. Still, I think it might be necessary as proof of "employment" in the field should I want to pursue a creative job. (I don't, for the record, but I'm in need of cash and figured I may as well try my luck.)
The account will be completely isolated if I can help it-- not tied to any other online aliases, only tied to my real name through that resume. The creative resume will be one of many, hopefully offline (emailed through pdf at worst), and the account in question will be used as an easy way to access all of the works listed on it. Still, there's always the risk of ending up compromised through the stripping of anonymity, and I know there's at least one piece of writing (one of my better ones, unfortunately) that is directly tied to a more obvious personal account. Looking for a few more brains to comment on the matter before I do anything definitive, as I can't put all of my attention on this atm but need to figure it out.
