Maybe Sherpas and Gurkhas are culturally divergent enough to be a source of debate, but not the average lowland Nepalese.

My only hope is that India can achieve modernization at a super fast pace starting sometime very soon like China has achieved. I don't know if they're capable of doing it from a cultural perspective but it would at least improve the outcome of things as they currently stand.

It seems possible in the near-future that countries (or companies) downgrade Indian internet traffic/users or something like that on account of how poor quality their users are. I mean it would be unprecedented but given they're like 20% of the world's population it'll probably have to happen at some stage - I wouldn't be surprised if the major players (like Facebook) already have hidden policies for shit like that.
