There needs to be a Do-Not-Call for pollsters

What they should really do is find whoever keeps sending me that car warranty scam and send in Seal Team 6.

Is it automated? If I get a spam call and it's from a real person I just immediately do whatever I have to do to get them to keep going. "Is your car's warranty expired?" "Yes, yes it is." Anything like that to get them in. After that I just turn on my Bullshit Generator and start wasting their time. Phone sits on speaker while I keep doing whatever I was doing. If you just hang up they call back a couple of days later, at least in my experience. If you engage with them they get pissed off and block you for good. At one point I was getting like 3 scam calls a day until I started fucking with them.

Listen, there's a lot of things I wish I could be doing right now and maybe that's one of them. You know, it's just a tough time for me. My brother drives a supply truck for Wendy's and last week he was dropping off stuff at one way out in the boonies, like you had to drive 20 miles in any direction to get to another town. Anyway his truck breaks down and he's like, well, OK, I'm stuck out here, truck's overheated, and I've got all this food in the back. Well, he takes out one of the boxes and grabs whatever was inside, finds some clean surface and tries to get a fry going on the engine block. Dude literally heated up some food and had lunch. Took 3 hours for a repair truck to get there, then another 2 to unload and get the shit out. Totally bizarre. I tell everyone this story and they love it. Anyway, because his truck broke down he's borrowing my 99 Taurus to get to/from work. He had another car but the clutch went out and now his boss is letting him just drive the truck home at night. He had to go to some kind of training thing like 3 hours away, so that's when I let him borrow the car, because the truck gets 15 MPG highway. Now if he gets the clutch fixed, and let's say that's the only issue, because his car was already in the shop like a month before this for way different issues, then maybe I'll have my car back by the time to vote.

A variation of this worked with the aforementioned car warranty scam. They were hitting me 2-3 times a day. I finally got connected to a human and started talking about my blacked-out 4-door Olds with crazy rims and underlighting. Guy said, "You're a liar" and hung up. Never got a call from them again. BTFO.
