Thread Watch

When I go into a lolcow thread, I want to get updates regarding the cow itself. I could care less about the memes and retarded in-jokes and the weening that only the forum spergs find amusing.

I don't spend my whole life on here unlike some users so I prefer to get the current news on a certain lolcow and spending the better part of my afternoon digging through pages and pages of attention-whoring and hurr hurr le jokes hurr hurr is just a massive turnoff.

Lol calm down

It's not hard to quickly look over a thread and pick out the important posts. I do it all the time and unless it's like 5000 pages it usually only takes at most 5 minutes, and even if it is 5000 pages the OP usually tells you what you want to know anyways.

One of the things I'm noticing is threads like "Encounters with SJWs in Real Life" seem to be about who can make up the most outrageous story instead of actual real events they experienced, but I'm not sure if anything can be done about that due to the nature of those sorts of threads.

Of course they're made up, more than 90% of the people on here don't go out in public

There's been a surge in threads about conservative news sources, and most of them amount to simply discussing the few bad things about the site while ignoring the articles that may or may not actually have merit.

These are a mixed bag. For instance, I don't see anything about World Net Daily that fits the Community Watch purpose. Joey Farah is definitely kind of a lolcow but it isn't really easy to poke him and get a personal response out of him as compared to other crazy wingnut birther types like, say, Orly Taitz.

However, Free Republic is definitely a huge potential source of milk. It just hasn't been in that thread yet. This is the main one that seems to have solid potential for being a long lasting thread.

After some time, it may be worthwhile to just make a thread for each nutty blogosphere (right and left) and merge these into it and only break out threads for specific sites if they deserve it. I'd invite other suggestions, though.

Most things are up for fair game here on the Farms. It's equal opportunity for all kinds of groups and some of the lulzy people in them.

Probably not. It's still pretty terrible, though, so I'll downgrade it to Diseased. Someone else might downgrade it further.

I haven't kept up with that thread. What's been going on in there?

There were a couple users here who felt euphoric atheists weren't lolcows. Because they were EA's themselves.
