Tim Pool - 'journalist' who claims to be a sensible centrist & sucks Sargon of Akkad's wiener; Afraid of the Milkshake ANTIFAs

absolutely broke basic form in the Senate when they refused to even hold hearings on Merrick Garland for an entire year. And then they turned around and voted Amy Barrett in in just under a month.
Kind of. This is one of those things people get wrong, in that it wasn't that the president would be out in a year so he shouldn't appoint someone, it's that the president was democratic and the senate was republican, and there would be an election of the president before the senate. So their reasoning wasn't "you're out in a year so we won't hear it" it was "we're going to block it anyway because we're hostile to the nominee and you're out in a year so why bother?" When Amy was in that position both the president and senate were republican so they could push it through.

I think this is going to bite them in the ass (or rather I really hope so). While TDS is a pretty strong condition I think this is going to terrify even some hardware any trump people pretty hard. They wont vote for him in 2024, but I don't see them voting for the same party that pulled shit like this.
Nah my Zuckbook feed is all people saying every Trump supporter should be arrested regardless of any criminal activity. Tim's not wrong that there are people hardwire to hate the opposition but he doesn't understand is that they're okay with killing their political enemies as long as they're not the ones doing the fighting. That's why a civil war is unlikely or not likely to be bigger than a few fights; most people will want someone else to fight their fight against their political enemies.

Tim is being disingenuous here. Towards the end of the video he says that Democrats accuse Republicans of breaking the rules and claims they never do.

Yes, Tim, the Republicans absolutely broke basic form in the Senate when they refused to even hold hearings on Merrick Garland for an entire year. And then they turned around and voted Amy Barrett in in just under a month. That was an absolute slap in the face and it was a very blatant abuse of power.
You can thank Harry Reid for this.

Even better was the fact that the way it was rammed it through was also using an opening given to them by changing how many votes were needed to confirm, if I am remembering right. The Dems literally worked to remove the thing that could have stopped it then cried foul when it bit them in the ass. If the power is so great as to be able to be "abused" then maybe don't remove the checks that were put in place to prevent that "abuse".

yeah over the years i noticed people saying who the good and bad guys are but pretty much no one i know has been radicalized enough to do any direct violence. For the most part people are happy calling for violence on social media.

I like that Tim is thinking of sueing Newsguard. Do it Beanieman, it will be funny.

There’s nothing in the rules that say they have to hold hearings when there is no chance the person will get in. Funnily enough Republicans would have not been able to do that it Dems had not changed the rules thereby giving Republicsns the majority when this came up.

Republicans did not break the rules. As always they used the rules Dems set against them.

The Left no matter where they are never thinks about what could happen if the opposition holds power. A lot of bitching at Trump was for enforcing the laws they themselves set against their interests.

@Retink Tim said on his last episode that Cast Castle might be relaunching last night. Did you see anything?
I haven't watched it since before it was canceled but looking at their page last update was 3 weeks ago. I know they mentioned moving it behind the pay wall, so maybe they relaunched it there?

Yes, Tim said they moved it behind the pay wall. They're rebooting because even though they were getting views, it wasn't profitable. They're going for more of a The Office approach.

The former leftist comedian that's been on IRL over the last several weeks gushing about how less toxic the right has been to him than the left is the writer Tim hired. It's going from silly skits to silly skits with maybe a narrative? Don't know. Never watched Cast Castle and unless someone bites the bullet to archive / clip the stuff behind the paywall I probably never will.

I used to watch it when they would just have someone there with a camera and it was mostly spontaneous, but I guess that made them look bad so they made it just about Tim skating and around that time a lot of the weirdos like Andreas got canned which didn't help. Their skits weren't particularly good except one that I think Freedom Toons wrote where they flip Ian upside down and a bunch of crystals fall out of his pockets and he just goes "Ow! My crystals!"

I don't have a membership to Tim's site so I won't be watching it, though even if it was free I can't imagine it being good. Tim's sense of humor is boomer humor but with him being smug about how brilliant he thinks it is because he sprinkled some zoomer humor into it. I mean who remembers this pinnacle of comedy?

Why doesn't Tim Pool do investigative journalism like travel to a foreign country like he used to? The only reason why he ever became semi famous was his trip to Sweden traveling to the no-go zones.
That's just blatantly untrue. Tim's main claim to fame was reporting on Occupy Wall Street using a drone.

Ok, ok, while that is true, his trip to Sweden's no go zones was a lot of people's introduction to him. My point is that Tim could have continued being the adventurer looking at the side of the world most people wanted to understand better. Not as the guy sitting around all day saying "it's complicated, no no no you can't do that, and civil war 2.0 is totally going to happen you guys".

Tim's argument is he's too famous now to do it safely. Probably why he once spazzed out on Andy Ngo for continuing to do on the ground journalism despite being even more famous than Tim.

Tim Pool is nothing more than a lazy coward.
To be fair... If I could sit on my ass making videos and playing with chickens all day and make a bunch of money doing it, bet your ass I'd choose that over going out and playing with Antifa retards.

He'd earn his inflated ego 100% if he knocked a guy out cold for coming at him with a skateboard and then took said board and did kickflips over their unconscious body, though.
