I haven't watched enough episodes to know where Tim's opinion of the vaccines has landed at this point. Is he still doing that "talk to your doctor" shit or is he inching out now that it has become more safe to talk about the negatives.
 
Tim is hocking a “night vision” product as his latest sponsor. Good choice of audience for the sponsor. I bet a lot of dumbasses buy this cheap shit based on simply being on TimcastIRL. “I got this awesome night vision that Tim Pool suggested, now I’m ready for the upcoming civil war!”

These ”night vision” binoculars are just a camera with low light sensors, same shit as the “night vision mode” on a camcorder. (big giveaway is the 32GB SSD card) Hoplopfheil, from The Firearm Blog, did a video on a higher-end low light digital camera and compared it to actual NVG.


The product being used in the above vid is $500, so Tim’s little “night vision” toy is probably more like this other low light camera that Hoplopfheil reviewed that is $100, seen below.


Also of note, you can get PVS-14 monoculars for around $3k. Quad tube NVGs are $50k and decent binocs tend to be around $15k. A monocular is still costly, but you definitely don’t need $15k to get a decent NVG solution, even a military grade one. There are legit NVG products that are “civilian grade” that are cheaper, ranging from $200-$400 for a monocular to $500-$2k for binoculars.

This binocular camera is NOT an actual NVG solution and even for being a gimmicky low light camera, it is still probably totally shit.

Judging by what he’s said, I presume the NODs he has are high end BNVDs. Something like the Harris BNVD-1531, which I believe is mil spec. That particular model tends to run around $10k online and in-store can easily be marked up to $12k or slightly more.

I may be wrong on this, so would appreciate any confirmation, but I think Tim mentioned before (iirc in one of the episodes with Forest) that he bought NODs for himself and for Luke.

The bigger question is, what does he need night vision for?

Really though, I doubt he bought actually nice goggles, he probably picked up some cheapos that are marked up on a random website, just like his China Metal Meteor Sword and Canadian Silver that he paid way more than he should have for.

The Internet is full of people buying cheap shit from China, renaming it, and charging ten times or more. I think the solar bank he was shilling was one of those because it matched one that some company was pitching that turned out to be China trash. It's not even so much that all of these things are scams, it's that if they have the dollars to dump into influencers, they're probably making those back somehow on the margin.

The thing with Chinese knockoffs is that as soon as they start manufacturing a product for another company, they copy every single aspect of it and crank out their own generic version. This was notable with a company called AC Infinity. Their exhaust fans (geared towards marijuana cultivation) were very uniquely designed and had unique features. Within a year the market was flooded with exact replicas.

The problem is a lot of times one of two things happen with China products, either they just copy the exterior and make up the interior which is always shit as it's nowhere near the right design, or they copy everything but, they have no quality control and you're basically a coin flip on getting a good or dead product. The biggest reason why you can buy "Made in China" products from USA companies is because they usually have a QC run done on pallets sent to them. The annoying thing is the Chinese will also just lie to you as the company as well, so you have to constantly check things, otherwise quality will fall off a cliff and half the paperwork will just be made up.

Amazon is the biggest proliferator of this shit. You can look at reviews of original and knockoff of products and the knockoffs always have a slightly lower rating due to reviews about product failure and/or bad support.

Jack Posobiec is still on my glownigger list, but the Human Events episodes about China was really good and makes me want to fill in the gaps of my knowledge about Mao’s life and, more specifically, the rise of Xi.

Amazon is awful for this, because while it has some nice aspects it's a search engine designed to mind fuck you into accepting cheap shit. That kind of thing has a place in the world, but there really needs to be some kind of counter opposite to it, even if that's just a bunch of independent providers of nicer product, but as long as Youtube and Google control search and influencer marketing that will never change.

Not exactly what you're talking about, but Tim himself has talked about an app called Public Square that shows you local businesses, which might be useful for some things.

Heard about it. I guess you can self police it, but it seems like a boomer as fuck idea that can be easily infiltrated. And that’s the shit the right doesn’t understand.

The right are losers. Conservatives like being stepped on. Of course they're not imaginative, they don't actually want to win. I mean considering "based Texas" refuses to allow a father to stop his ex-wife from trooning out their preteen son (James Younger), what do you expect from conservatives at this point? If they wanted to win, they'd do as you suggest, start turning the left's own tactics against them. But instead they'll lie down, "back the blue," and say "oh I support you you nice police officer" when the cops show up to arrest them after their houses are attacked by Antifa/BLM rioters instead of going after the rioters (see the Mark McCloskey story).

They don't really need to infiltrate it. The reason most small business died to things like Amazon is because a lot of mom and pop shops just bought the same junk from distributors that's sold at mega corps and they sold it at a mark up.

It's just an issue with how it's impossible to build a factory anymore that's competitive, and everyone just goes with the path of least resistance.
