I'll give Tim credit for one thing here. He flat out says what I've been saying for a long time. "No, we don't honestly think you are (gender you claim to be). We're being polite. Anyone watch IRL? Tim was talking about how he IS timcast and if it weren't for him; nobody that works for him would make money. Apparently he's the only one that does any work. He also said he wishes he never started hiring people so he could just do whatever. I would sure hate to have been an employee listening to tonight's show.

Yes, he is being a giant narcissist that constantly destroys his employees' morale and effectiveness due to his shitty hiring practices. But it is also true that no one would tune into the Ian Crossland show and his non IRL content is literally only watched by @Retink Retunk. So he is right, but it's a self-fulfilling prophecy caused by his terrible personality.

The thing that confuses me about Tim is usually people who grow up poor and make it big are pretty humble and appreciative of what they've gotten in life. Tim on the other hand seems completely full of himself and has very little idea of what the value of a dollar is.

The people hired and retained are always the fault of the company, because one of several things is happening, either the company is keeping people on they should fire and it's their fault for making poor hiring decisions, or they're not paying competitive wages and as such the people working there are the best they can get. Sure, paying well doesn't assure you get a good employee, but you can't pay shit and offer no benefits and then be surprised when you get subpar people applying for the job.
It's also just dumb to shit talk employees openly like he has been doing, especially as his other projects have had very little support from what can be seen as an outsider, with the few ok things being cut down by Tim as they're trying to get off the ground.

Not even I can watch his other content, Sleepless just isn't worth that level of pain. It doesn't help that he took Caste Castle which was funny for seeing how dumb shit was and turned it into Tim Pool's Skate Show, then canceled it and put it behind a paywall as a skit show no one cared about.

That response from him came off more as cope to me rather than his ego. He constantly brings up the success of Ben Shapiro and The Daily Wire (which has big names on it outside of Ben) meanwhile he is still the only popular person under the Timcast brand after all these years. He desperately wanted Timcast to grow into a giant major media thing but that hasn't happened at all. I've never once seen someone share a Timcast article on twitter, nor have I ever heard someone who isn't explicitly a Tim Pool viewer even mention the name Timcast. For such a popular youtuber his media brand sure has very little recognition.

Daily Wire began in 2015. Tim was either still working at VICE then or just recently left to go solo. Regardless he didn't start the current version of Timcast til around 2019/2020 I believe. I don't watch Ben or the Daily Wire so can't say I have much of an opinion on them, though I can probably assume they're run like a normal business rather than whatever the fuck Tim does.

They also have significantly higher production values, which was something I’ve not got about tim. He keeps claiming he wants to be a Disney competitor, but his videos look worse than a Young Turks video. I have my issues with Crowder, but at least the man actually puts a budget into his stuff and makes his show look really good.
Though both Tim and Internet Historian have the same level of historical accuracy. I like IH, but I’d really wish he’d double check his stuff before putting it out there. His Floyd Collin’s video is so inaccurate it hurts. Comedy videos, I know. But part of the humor is that it’s supposed to be true and it loses the humor when you personally know it’s not.

Did a lot of the people on Ben's network have a following before joining the Daily Wire? I think Klavan was a somebody but I don't know anything about the other people prior to their work there.
The other thing is, when I think about each personality on the Daily Wire, I can easily forget Ben Shapiro exists. Jeremy Boring and his razors commercial doesn't make me think of "Shapiro Razors" or whatever, it makes me think of Jeremy. I don't think Tim would ever allow that and that's why it will always be Tim dependent, and why people aren't going to care about his website that much, because while Breitbart sounds exotic, "TimCast dot com" sounds like some dudes personal ego trip. Hell, there's a reason Twitch is no longer called "Justin TV".
Though the big thing is probably when Ben hires someone on, they sit down, work out a detail business strategy, with goals that can be tracked and they expectations and reviews after so many months passed, and if it's not working out they probably work on a strategies to improve metrics. I'm guessing with Tim, he just brings some dude on, tells him a vague story about what he wants, and then if asked about follow up or guidance he just says "I don't know man, we'll skate on it some time. Wakka wakka."
