The risk/reward ratio for someone like Tim just makes engagement farming not worth it in my opinion. The guy has to be worth at least $10 million, but he is making a fool out of himself for peanuts. Pretty clear he will never marry her, there is no common law marriage in WV, and even tho she has been his COO for years and helped him build Timcast we know he pays his employees peanuts. It’s only natural she would feel vulnerable in such a situation and it would strain the relationship, and now they are trying to bring a kid into the picture.

I don't think it's for Alison, it's probably for his mom as that seems to be the only family member Tim has a good long standing relationship with. His mom also had a failing coffee business that caused his dad to skip town, so it would make sense he's trying to make her dream business a reality.
