This means a parallel global economic system. This sets the possibility of a petro-yuan to compete with the petro-dollar. Saudi Arabia has recently affirmed commitment to OPEC Plus, which is an expanded oil cabal that includes Russia. Abandoning the petro-dollar could spiral US economy into a great depression.

I don't know if it will be a depression, but the US is in for a really rough ride if the petro-dollar loses any level of power as the US has given up pretty much all of its production in hopes of being a financial center to the world, which doesn't really work when another country with said production makes their own financial center for the world.

Hopefully it promotes decentralization with adoption of more crypto use as a whole around the world. Maybe if we're really lucky the US will become less retarded once it needs to do actual work to produce products and profits as opposed to just shuffling paper back and forth.
