Tim Pool - 'journalist' who claims to be a sensible centrist & sucks Sargon of Akkad's wiener; Afraid of the Milkshake ANTIFAs

Maybe enough of his audience has told him he’s dumb?
Oh, he said "not" doing the voice? That's a factual inaccuracy.

3:30 (admittedly this one is minor but it's still him doing a stupid voice for his political opponents)

12:20 (also a minor voice, still mocking, and he makes a fart noise after repeating what someone else said that he disagrees with too)

But okay, listening to these more recent videos closely, I will admit he is doing a lot better than he was earlier in the year.

I'm starting to hate luke the more I hear from him. The guy is the embodiment of a key board warrior, all complaining no solutions.

He brags constantly about "I was always against trump". I don't see your dumbass running for president.

No wonder nobody wants to run for president. Contrarians are obnoxious cunts.
His constant bitching about muh Chechnya commando raids and the tomahawk strikes in Syria years ago is all he really has against Trump. Luke is stuck in the bush/early Obama era of war bad maaaaan. What makes it funnier is we already know that the military outright lied to Trump about things before and HE knows it too, and he always brings up the military industrial complex but will still act like Trump did it of his own accord

Aside from Jimmy Dore, who can kinda manage to stop being partisan for 5 minutes, mid 00s liberals are really useless.

They're exactly what they accuse Republicans of being. Every time they say "spineless and cowardly" I'm confused because I assume they're talking about themselves.

Trump is probably the most anti war president, as not only did the military have to lie to him to keep their shit going, but he also helped promote peace between Kosovo and Serbia, Israel and several nations, he was the one who initiated the Afghanistan withdrawal, and much more. Hell, the same month Trump left office was when funding was renewed to Middle Eastern countries and the Iron Dome was overwhelmed with rocket attacks instantly.

Oh and Obama was caught on video letting Medvedev (then president of Russia) know privately that he has more power in his second term and can weaken missile defenses near Russia, as well before the Russo-Ukrainian War Biden said it would be fine if Putin had a minor invasion of Ukraine. Luke and Tim always annoyed me in that they were so devoted to be neutral that they couldn't just say one side is shittier than the other(s) on important issues like war.

Oh no, will @Johnny Salami finally get his wish fulfilled of having a Lydia brap show?
don't @ me stranger

Edit: This is by far the stupidest Timcast episode. The guest is shilling Eth and ERC20 tokens, and pretending they're not essentially fiat bullshit. Tim thinks Bitcoin is made by the elites because it can be tracked, but somehow doesn't get any digital fiat transaction can as well, at least crypto is somewhat private and can't be prevented from being transferred easily in comparison to fiat.

Wasn't she pregnant, or was she and Andy just trying for a kid but not actually having one?

Yay! Lydia is gone! Unfortunately, some stoned guy is on to replace her. All these people are so dysgenic looking.
His name is Serge, and he hasn't showered in three weeks.

Alright, boys. Someone sat Tim down and made him act like an adult when Muse stole Will of the People. But here we go, it's another Timcast brand Lolsuit!

Tim is saying he is considering suing Paypal because Paypal revealing its hand caused a lot of people to drop the company and he is saying that cost him money.

Other highlights:
Tim says if you are "truly principled", you should be a paid subscriber to him just because, and to everyone else, he is "working to earn it". So he acknowledges that his site is currently not worth what he charges for it.

Tim mulls over raising his rates, saying The Daily Wire charges $12 a month and he only charges $10, which should tell you everything you need to know, considering The Daily Wire is actually a competent media organization that makes movies.

Tim states that people who are signed up using Paypal should close their accounts and sign up again using Stripe. He then admits that he does not know if his own website would charge users again for doing that, before saying "well, do it anyway, you drop us another $10, you're supporting the channel".

Tim states there are problems with his website and he doesn't have the best technology in the world but "if I had 200,000 users, I would fix this immediately". So, his fans are at fault. For not giving him enough money. The one year transformation Tim has had to turn into a full Cenk Uygur is amazing.

(By the way, Josh has like four mods that he doesn't even pay and they got his website up again in a few days, despite only 10% or so of his users giving him a dime).

See, this is why a boss should hire a competent accountant. Any savvy businessman would have asked what exactly about his site makes it special enough to justify paid subscriptions. Tim obviously didn't look into what is wrong with his business, didn't conduct any paid surveys (which would have had a better ROI than billboards), and definitely doesn't try to emulate competitors like The Lotus Eaters, never mind The Daily Wire.

Drop out of college if you like, but don't drop out of high school, kiddies.

Tim Pool talking at an Israeli sponsored Google event in 2015 about how he got started in journalism. He's actually pretty decent to listen to and as most people tend to improve with practice but he's actually gotten worst. This also might explain why he's never willing to critique Israel since they helped him get off the ground

Well you see, the Daily Wire offers a bunch of stuff behind their paywall and brings on new and interesting talent over time. Tim, following their example of giving people more value for their premium subscription moved shows that couldn't cut it on Youtube like Cast Castle behind his pay wall as clearly people would want to pay for it if they're not even watching it for free. Truly a genius contrarian strategy.

I have not watched The Lotus Eaters at all, because I am not British. You sound like you actually like them? Did Carl manage to not fuck that up?

For one thing, they're probably 60% American news.

It's far closer to a serious business than I ever expected. Sargon's took himself out of the "just wanted to play my video games" mindset and seems determined to adopt the "serious father" mode of life, at least on camera. They've decided to no longer pretend and just plant their flag and outright declare themselves as a sort of right-wing news commentary channel. 80% of their stuff is at least 70% good. Most of the content / analysis isn't really unique. Interestingly enough you seem to get more seriously scholarly and investigative work out of them than you do out of "I'm hiring a crapton of investigative journalists!" Tim Pool & his 50x larger budget.

Overall my opinion is definitively positive and I don't think Sargon fucked it up in the least... but it's not really life-changing stuff.
Well, some stuff that might be heading in that direction are some of their philosophical discussions (vomit if you prefer) & "book clubs", but I've never, I dunno, subscribed to their paywall stuff so I don't know how good it all is.
I do appreciate that he's got his staff taking it seriously and that he's getting his staff seriously well-read and well-rounded, though.

And it's been -- actually this might be the best part, kinda like being a teacher of the good sort -- it's really neat to see how some of the kids he brought onto his have incredibly improved themselves over the last year or two or however long it's been, from the one who was camera-shy and stuttered horribly in reading aloud but now is pretty fluent (& went off and joined Lord Miles in Afghanistan recently, anything Miles does is always fun), to other ones who just went from really shoddy "journalism" into some quality stories coming out... well, kinda infrequently, but the improvement and growth is remarkable.

It's almost been more interesting to follow in an abstract way. It can make for rather decent "background television" though, but a shit ton of stuff fills that.

It's fair to say "I like them"

Yes, actually. Aside from what @nym said, Sargon gets out of the way a lot of the time. He'll still talk about feminism because he considers himself an expert on it, but on other subjects, he delegates it to other people. I'd say his secretary gets more facetime on that show more than Sargon.

In comparison to Tim Pool, Tim cannot delegate any of his shows to anyone. Sure, his hires are retards, but they're also not charismatic either. Aside from Adam, I guess, but he's not a hire anymore. So, anyone who watches Tim's show has to be doing it to see Tim and he's been coasting on his press credentials for years now. Tim is a fundamentally uncurious person, which is why he doesn't seem like he's learned much of anything in the years he's been a pundit. Which is why I say the difference is Sargon has read a book. I don't believe Tim reads anything. News articles don't count as reading.
