You'd think he'd be happy that a presidential candidate is using his journalists footage. Tim had Destiny, Lauren Chen and John Doyle on his show to talk about masculinity and relationships/hook up culture, three people that have no right giving advice on those topics.

There are 4 fair use factors. For a fair use defence to succeed you must have more in your favour than against (with the 2nd being the least weighty).

Unpublished and fictional works are more protected than publicly avaliable factual works.

Tim's work was published and factual, so gets minimal protection under these rules

Was only enough of the original used to make the point or was way more used? Was the bit use the "heart" or most important part of the work.

Only a tiny clip out of an entire video was used, nothing more than necessary was used.

Does the new use totally replace the original, can you get everything from the new work without ever going to the old work.

Only the tiny bit used means that the new version does not replace the original, you could not watch the new video and have experienced the entire copyrighted work.

Tim had a decent claim against DeSantis when it came to the AI Fauci images as that was dumb of the DeSantis campaign, but this really does give Tim the appearance of being a bitch. I don't think most people are behind DeSantis on most things, but his war room videos have been pretty good, too bad he took down the anti-LGBTQ+BBQHOMOPEDO video as that one was fun.

Tim Pool is the Ron DeSantis of conservative Youtubers. Says enough "spicy" talking points to gather a base, normal enough to blend, but are fickle when it comes to authenticity and consistency.

money is the answer, but not for the reason you said, it's a grifting loop.
the current thing for Pool's in his show is now massive hatred for Desantis, it all started because the Desantis war room used AI pictures of Trump hugging Fauci, for some reason that made Pool lose his shit, demanding day after day that the Desantis team removed that ad, they did not, so Pool started a media war against Desantis (despite the guy himself having nothing to do with the war room account).
The guys running Desantis ads know Pool has a hate boner for them and they are just using them, Pool being mad brings attention, and the haters will also donate to Pool's show.
It's all a grift, and all very very gay.
