I couldn’t give a single shit about Tim Fool, but this DeSantis Campaign looks like it is going to cause a lot of polarization and reeing.

We know how Tim acts when he's getting you on a technicality, but when he stated South and North Korea were one nation it was like he was saying what day of the week it was. Tell that to the artillery, ballistic missiles, and on NK's side, fucking nukes they have pointed at eachother. Seoul is basically considered in the 'splash zone' from every basic bitch 152mm artillery piece NK has. That does not sound like one country to me lad

He probably doesn't, but fuck it, if YouTube allows people to claim demonetization for clips over 8 seconds long, then there's arguably a case for it. If nothing else, maybe a ruling against YouTube. But that's optimistic AF and probably not going to happen. Fuck YouTube anyway.

Frankly I'm with Tim and I'm tired of DeSantis' fucking campaign team. I don't think I've ever seen a worse Presidential campaign team than Ron's in my entire life. It's to the point I'm convinced his team is made up at least a couple of people who hate him and are actively sabotaging him at this point. The AI images with Fauci was a horrible Pandora's box to open. His announcement speech on Twitter was a disaster. His public speaking is awful and puts people to sleep. He needs speech coaching and he either isn't getting it or it isn't working. He keeps trying to pick fights with Trump when he doesn't need to (yet). It's no wonder his campaign is falling in the polls and he should just clean house with his team at this point.

Using clips, journalist clips no less, in a transformative work is fair use. Using AI generated images to fabricate a story is slanderous in nature.

DMCA is already abused by music and movie studios on Youtube despite them being used within fair use.

Wait, did Tim ever claim that he’ll bring him to court? As is, he seems to be just complaining about the lack of credit. I’m sure even he knows this is fair use. I got the impression that he’s more upset about Ron doing a dick move with lack of credit and his misunderstanding of the “paid for” line (which I get where he’s coming from, but he’s wrong)

Fair, but I look at his track record. First the Subverse porn game he tried suing, then the Muse music video, I'm just saying he has a known pattern of behavior. Now may it have taught him something? Maybe? But I'm not counting my eggs for at least a week.

Yes, North and South Korea have the most real, most tangible, most observed border in the entire world. They are not one nation in conflict. They have two separate governments. Two separate cultures. They are as divided as divided can be.

Thinking about Tim's radical positions made me realize he is the actual embodiment of this meme.

The only thing shared anymore is the language, luckily (Korean is a absolute clusterfuck), which basically is the same as America and the UK being considered one country because we were at one point. Everything else is completely different. Sure, some want a peaceful reunification... we all know that's not happening, and there's even word of SK thinking of nuking up as well. He also sued his brother, Rocco (that one actually made sense), and I think he claimed to be planning to sue others in the past. Tim is very sue happy, but usually he says he'll do it and then people talk him off the ledge with common sense.

He won't sue, one threat after the other, you just have to remember how a fucking mediocre porn game completely obliterated Pool, they even went as far as add Tim Pool as a retarded npc in the game just to mock him and he had to take it in silence.

As far as any legal action, he mentioned in the latest Timcast IRL I clipped that it is up to Elad Eliahu, as the rights holder, to decide if any action would be taken. Since this would infringe on his contractor's work, which he paid for, Tim was very adamant for the Timcast attribution & potential payments to Elad, as rights holder, in the DeSantis ad. This all came out after the initial tweets, later in the day.
Though I have never seen such an attribution used in a campaign ad, as is used in news reports, for example.
Tim did himself no favours through a tweeted response & combined with his previous feuding with DeSantis campaign staff, it comes off sounding petulant.
