I can't believe I forgot to bring this up yesterday, he went on a whole rant, it's ridiculous. I don't blame him for getting upset at someone pirating his stream, but he doesn't need to sperg out for 5 minutes over it. He actually started complaining again tonight when another super chat mentioned it.
Aye, I can understand the frustration of someone doing that, after working so hard on setting up the event. Just wish he had reached out in private, asking the person to take it down & explains where to get it for free on iTunes & Spotify. Instead, we get Tim saying this will be the last event if this keeps happening, acting like a child.
While I agree that it's inconsistent of Rubin and countless others to have a take that one group should be censored and another shouldn't when both groups are holding peaceful protests/gatherings even if one group is doing so for a violent or offensive group elsewhere, I will say that one issue is that in the case of the pro-Palestine protests, most of those "refugees" shouldn't be in those countries in the first place.
Now that his in-group, Jews, are facing these protests, I can understand why he cast aside his absolutist stance. In times of chaos, tribal loyalties win out over liberal platitudes like "free speech". It is unfortunately so that only certain groups can act in such a manner & not face backlash. Though to you latter point on immigration, we are beginning to see a testing of the waters on "Maybe mass immigration was a BAD idea". I am glad to see it, though saddened that the West did not raise this discussion when their own native populations were under attack/threat, already (Cologne, Malmö, Rotherham, etc.):
