I think it was Alex Stein immediately following the Rekieta arrest who described getting a huge drama fix from the Nick thread so Phil Labonte could have heard about the farms from him.

But you're the first to suggest Phil might be a farmer. It's more likely he's aware of the farms and/or follows some of the threads without an active account.

Makes sense. I've just never seen anyone who doesn't actively use the farms (with or without an account) use the term "lolcow" in a good way, as something we need for entertainment.

Also, Tim is such a wonderful judge of character that you shall recall how excited he was to welcome Michael Rappaport after the has-been comedian said voting Trump "was on the table", only for Tim to say he reneged on that. I tried to look up this take-back from Michael, but could not find it, though:


-To be fair to Tim, after being asked to donate super-chat revenue from this episode to the family of Corey Comperatore, he notes that YouTube takes a sizeable "35%" from every super-chat & it would be better for people to directly donate to the fund. Tim still plans to donate the super-chats & thought about matching it, still, but did not want people to throw money at him in hopes of all of it getting to the Comperatore family:




-Two Canadians debate the intentions of another. Hannah questions the intentions of Tom MacDonald, who put out a single called "You Missed" mere hours after the assassination attempt, while David defends Tom's honour:

Tim has half a dozen different studios in his compound, and not a single one of them was ready to be used in case of an emergency? Your presidential candidates are picking the lining of their coffins, Tim believes that a civil war will start Any Day Now, it's a goddamn election year in the world's most rich and powerful country, and his news organisation lacks the capability of going live with a click of a button? What is this, amateur hour?

Even people that don't deal much with hard politics, like Eric July and Quartering, managed to squeeze in a video or livestream within an hour of the assassination attempt.

He was in Milwaukee, not at the compound. His studio stuff was on the way. They probably had someone drive the equipment while he flew in because god forbid timmy make use of the mobile streaming setup he used fucking ages ago.

To be fair to the beanie, him and his team aren't at their compound. They're in Milwaukee for the RNC.

That said, he was literally at a casino when it happened and decided to stay because "a lot of these RNC bigshots were there throwing money around and I wanted to see who was doing it". So. Yeah.

Tim says he couldn't go live because all his shit wasn't set up, etc etc etc excuses. But he wants us to forget he started his whole career by firing up his cellphone. He could have easily have left that poker table and went back to his room and fired up a solo stream. But he's far too lazy.

He says its because they were all going to the RNC. But isn't that what his million dollar van is for? To have a portable studio that can be set up anywhere anytime? Truth is - the cards and poker was far more important than him firing up a stream.
 
Tonight's episode was Tim, Hannah, Luke, Elad, and guests Alex Stein and The Quartering. It was actually not too bad, probably because everyone managed to talk over Tim a bit. Elad was probably the worst part.

I will give Tim a little credit, during the super chat segment, he did push back on the boomercons that want everything to be boring, ie the Matt Walsh types.
 
Getting to see Tim in the Danger Van would have been an additional reason to tune in so obviously he continued smoking pot and skating

-Tim describes him having a good faith exchange with Jes Margera. When Tim mentions his coffee brand, Jeremy has a none-too-subtle coughing fit:


-After expressing a willingness to forgive Kyle Gass, a super-chatter asks whether Steven Bonnell is worthy of "redemption". Tim says yes, if he is genuine. Tim says it is highly unlikely he ever would do that & Steven shall not be invited back onto the show, again, out of fear he could get the channel taken down for screeching about wishing death upon people:


-Tim argues for why you should not abandon childish things, because "winning the culture war" means pushing back on "Conservative Dad-bros" because "middle-aged men" made the comics which inspired young men to be heroes:


-Tim notes his planned card game "Debate Me" is akin to "Texas Hold 'Em with special cards". Also, Jeremy discloses that he fibbed about his knowledge of a card game called "Illuminati" to gain his first video apperance:
