How does an absolute nonentity like this apparently make mad bank with his utterly mid takes?

He's not dumb enough to be an entertaining lolcow and he's not smart enough to give a shit about his opinions.
He kinda has the same retarded boomer audience like rekeita where they unironcally call him a real American patriot and truth teller and I guess also has his old lolbert audience that's been around since his vice days.
And it's because he has generic mid takes that it resonates with the people who are the most invested in politics i.e. retards

"Centrist" Tim Pool seething anytime Kamala opens her mouth. Guy can't even hide his political allegiance.
Centrists are the dumbest people on the face of the planet they're not smart enough to come up with a coherent world view that isn't all sides banned it's the same reason no one likes characters who scream I'm above it all no one's above it all

Pretty much what the others have said.
Got a big boost at the start by a few other big people. He was really one of the few doing this stuff even if his takes were more "Reasonable"
Everyone was shitting on Trump but him and a few more, extreme takes that were further right. So it gave a place for people to vent / feel like someone was taking issues seriously when most of the news was a joke.
So he kind of had an easier time drawing people in, he claimed to be some fancy reporter who had covered civil wars you know!

Turns out the guy was full of it, his big patriotic talks about fighting the good fight were all horse shit he was never willing to do himself despite claims of being willing to do what was necessary.
People give him money because they want to share their opinions and feel they're heard. He was able to capitalize on this with super chats. Honestly I think a lot of Tim's rehashed stories are probably embellished and lies. Especially if you think about them.

In some ways he reminds me of the political version of Pirate Software. Which is like a video game version of Tim Pool. He got a big boost in views because of Asmongold seeing one of his mid youtube short takes. He pulls in an audience of young kids who think he's some big expert on video games. when in reality he did QA at a nepo job for his dad at blizzard. Who also has a thread if you want more morons to follow that manipulate people for revenue.

I got curious as to how money retards throw at him for him to read maybe 15 superchats on this mornings stream averages 788. Today he got almost a grand from retards throwing money at a millionaire to read what they say. 103 people sent superchats today and maybe 15-25% are read. I do not understand superchat culture; especially to multimillionaires who won't even read them.
This also explains why he started going live again - so he can double dip.

Tim had Daniel Turner as the guest.
Hannah & Libby were the co-hosts.

Clip Collection:
- @AnOminous, they tune in for the insightful political commentary Tim provides, like this:

-Tim prefaces this clip shared by Charlie Kirk as representing an undecided voter from a CNN panel. Though that description omits how the so-called undecided woman has voted for Trump in past elections, & says she is "probably" going to vote for him, again, in 2024:

-Tim promotes how you can tell him how wrong he is by signing up as a member, thereby paying him for the pleasure of doing so:

-Tim may not read every super-chat, but he certainly can spend time to read insults from "the regular chat", mocking his baldness & coffee hawking:

Nigger with some form of TDS came into the thread to stink it up because of the TENET news, and adds nothing of value and turned a relatively tepid thread because Tim has been only mildly of interest in the past few months into like 5 new pages of trash. Glad he fucked off again.
It's maddening because he gets protection from mods because he's been here for so long, which is fine, I understand og members getting a bit more protection, but what bugs me the most is the people that tag him like faggots to derail threads, or the people that don't realise he's a gimmick poster than doesn't realise he's a gimmick poster. He's legit fucking retarded. I have like three people on my ignore list, but it's hard to ignore his posts when so many people respond to him. heh.
Sargon of Akkad initial boost followed by a few appearances on Joe Rogan where he tore apart Dorsey AND Twitter's lawyer solo. Now it's just inertia.
yeah, people don't really understand tim isn't exactly a blithering moron, he can be decent when he's focused and righteous. I'm probably one of the only ones in his thread that used to enjoy his riot stream stuff, and his weird irl streams doing stuff like going to the dick museum a few years ago with I THINK mary morgan.

Ian was retarded again this episode. Big surprise.

He's burnt out his brain cells with drugs and doesn't understand reality.

This episode when he was complaining about people not being "positive" reminds me of the one time when he claimed he could solve world war 3 by writing a good song.

That sounds like a Tim idea that he tricked Ian into believing could be done.

I agree, somewhat, as I liked Tim's on the ground coverage, as well. Though I appreciated it because the story was the focus, not Tim masticating over it from a desk chair, no different than the usual news coverage. It was certainly novel to cut out the middle man & see what was actually going on at the events, via a live feed or unedited recording.

& I double checked the Icelandic Penis Museum video, it was Emily Molli, whose feline was allegedly cat-napped by the beanie boy.

Tim had Joel Valdez, working with MAGA congressmen on Capitol Hill, as the guest.
Hannah & Ian were the co-hosts.

Clip Collection:
-Tim continues to backseat blather about what he would do if he was on the debate stage. But when Joel says he would love to see Tim up there, Tim immediately rejects the very idea:

-Ian does have his misses, but is clear that people in small towns could not live as he did as a child, with an infusion of foreigners who do not share a culture with the locals. He notes from growing up in a small Ohio town, Ian cannot imagine leaving the back door open, biking home alone, etc. "if there were dudes walking around from a foreign country that didn't speak my language":

-A town's community well has failed & now 100 people are without water, so they super-chat Tim to raise awareness on the fundraising effort. Tim, naturally, criticises that they are using GoFundMe, as "they're anti-trucker [protestors] & they're racist". Leave it to Tim to complain about someone not doing things his preferred way when they are struggling to restore a basic necessity:

I've really lost interest in Tim Pool, but for whatever reason I remembered this tonight, maybe it's my last post in this thread for some time, but I truly think this is the one and only thing Tim has made that's of any value after he exploded in popularity. Something that's funny about it is that not only does it have a point or story but it's not on his music channel.

Tim is basically a skateboarding version of Daron Malakian.

Funnily enough, Daron has his own signature hat

He wears a fedora

Tim had Alex Stein; & Mike Crispi, chairman of the America First New Jersey Republicans, as the guests.
Hannah & Libby were the co-hosts.

Clip Collection:
-If you ever doubt Tim's judgement, rest assured by this clip. Tim says he knows no one who is "better at PR than Laura Loomer", citing her handcuffing herself to one of the doors of Twitter's headquarters after she was banned in 2018:

-Tim Heidecker makes an appearance in the chat, which the Beanie Boy is excited about. Alex is not so thrilled, as he says Heidecker conspired to get Sam Hyde's Adult Swim show, Million Dollar Extreme, cancelled:

-Tim continues to game-plan how Donald Trump should have behaved during the debate, if he was in the former president's place. Tim argues that after the moderators failed to fact-check Kamala Harris' statements, Trump should have walked off-stage. The panel argues that the media would spin this as weakness, while Tim contends that "they'd panic" & "their sponsors would lose it":

-Tim looks to be attempting to rekindle the Sam Sedar strife, first by claiming Sam is sexually attracted to him & now by pushing for Sam to clip the segment & cite where Tim was wrong "on the facts":

*Update*

@anustart76 mentioned a bit I forgot to include, so appending it, here. Alex Stein plays the Russian national anthem, right after Tim opines on Vladimir Putin wanting Donald Trump to win. Recovering from being flustered, Tim lays out Putin's supposed demands, & goes on to argue Trump wants peace by making a deal under the terms of "I don't want World War III, literally don't care, whatever", & Kamala Harris is "the Deep State" pushing for continuing it:

As usual, Alex makes Tim look dumb. I also enjoyed when Tim said something or the other about Russia and Alex started playing the Russian national anthem, and Tim was very upset.

His first big whiff of the grifting opportunities in this particular part of the political commentary world, was after Trump did his "Last night in Sweden" and some right wing commentator (I believe it was Crowder it was Paul Joseph Watson, thank you @anustart76 ) was offering to pay for any journo to go do a coverage of the alleged no-go zones in Sweden. Tim took the offer and went as a "lefty journo with an open mind" and it kind of escalated from there.

I think it was Paul Joseph Watson, not Crowder, if I remember right. Tim went with his now-former employee Emily Molli.
