The one week I decide to not pay that much attention, & it ends up having an episode that goes viral...I saw the first five to ten minutes go relatively well, & just decided to presume the rest would be fine. The more fool I.

Though I have to ask what Tim thought would happen if the man known for both his over-the-top performative & seemingly genuine outrage would do as the host, if the situation arose.
It is like calling up Gilbert Gottfried, hearing his answering machine message, & thinking this is the man to hire for the job of serenading the babies in the neonatal ward.
But there is some extra context to be had, as Karys Rhea, the guest, was not helping things. Alex did not present himself well, but the guest did the same in her own way.

I shall clip some red flag moments for the blow-up, & the full exchange, here.

-It begins with some light interruptions by Karys, as Alex is talking:


& needless hair-splitting:


Alex begins to be frustrated, though still hamming it up, when Karys acts confused when asked her opinion of Zohram Mamdani. She starts by claiming she lives in Washington D.C., as if that means she can offer no opinion, but later admits to living in New York for 18 years, as recently as during COVID, & knew of Zohram before his rise to prominence. Not helping things is calling herself a "Jewish-American Princess" & all the attitude which comes with it:


It rises to the point Alex states he is fed up with Karys, by using the Jewish-American Princess label on her, which can be taken as an off-hand insult, or joke:


During a conversation, Karys asks what "diddling" means & Alex explains it is pedophilia, & brings up Jeffrey Epstein. Though he chose to add the claim of the deceased diddler having multiple passports from Israel. Karys appears less than amused. While Epstein did have multiple passports, I could not find information on how many he may have had from Israel:

But making this seem more performative is Alex having a similar flip out over maps with Libby the co-host, as he would have over Epstein, later in the show. Though he does throw a barb at Karys' choice of stickers for her laptop:


-Here is the full exchange, ending at where the shorter clip does. the conversation begins with talk of Pres. Claudia Sheinbaum only being in power because the cartels permit it. Her being Jewish comes up, & Alex asks "I wonder if there's any correlation with that", looking at Karys. She appears to not be paying attention, as both Phil & Alex ask if Mossad got her elected, in what appears to be a joke. However, when Karys continues to be confused, Alex exclaims how "thick" she is for behaving like this. He goes on to ask if Claudia was on Epstein's island, which there is no record of, & asks Karys if she knows of Ghislaine Maxwell's father & his interment in one of the most auspicious graveyards in all of Israel. Karys displays a very dismissive attitude towards the possibility of Jeffrey Epstein working with Mossad, to the point of egging Alex on, to "tell me more from the groypers, tell more more from Candace Owens". This winds up Alex, where he accuses Karys of gaslighting, with the rest of the table being unwilling to call out her agitating Alex. Phil tries to cut this resolve this by disagreeing there were explicit intelligence ties, but there are powerful people linked to Epstein, which can indirectly link him to things like foreign intelligence services. Karys responding that the only real Epstein connections to Israel are via Ehud Barak, the former Prime Minister, though this does disregard alleged emails showing Epstein monetarily invested in several Israeli-based companies & being trusted to pass messages to Ehud over vetting Israeli applicants for positions:


Here is the start of the clipped moment, but including the remainder of the argument, after those thirty seconds. Once the well-known part ends, Karys jabs at Alex about becoming emotional, & he responds with asking about the recent case of an Israeli cybersecurity official being caught attempting to solicit a minor, in Las Vegas. During this, Alex claims Netanyahu defended the man, but I can find no evidence of this. Karys claims no knowledge of this, & refuses to trust Alex's framing, because she suspects he does not like Benjamin for the same reasons she dislikes him. Alex says he does not like the Israeli prime minister "because he bombs hospitals", which Karys seizes on as an unreasonable criticism. Karys claims "Netanyahu is the same type of figure, internationally, like Trump was", being falsely accused of wrong-doing. This exchange continues, but Phil interjects to say that disagreement is permitted, but not abusing each other. Alex admits he is riled up, over being gas-lit, but as Phil is appearing to agree with him, Jamie jumps in to offer some treacly words about recognising Alex's upset. Alex decides to ask Jamie what she thinks, but she says she has no opinion. When Alex asks why not, Karys pounces to ask why the hot-heated host does not care about Sudan, or Yemen. This same argument was worn out when Tim deployed it, & many of the same problems with this what-aboutism, (U.S. policy towards these nations, military vs humanitarian aid, etc.) apply the same. Alex refuses to take this, & jokes it must be how well Palestinians are at marketing which make him focus on it. Karys labels this a double standard, but Alex rightfully points out those two nations are not lobbying the same way Israel does. The Jewish-American Princess tries to claim that Qatar is doing a lot more lobbying than Israel's supporters do, but Alex retorts with the number of AIPAC-funded office holders. Both are somewhat right, as Qatar does employ many PR firms, but AIPAC funds more political campaigns. This goes on for several minutes, until Phil forces an end to it, with super-chats:


I did take a look at the clip of this exchange posted on Tim's channel, & it does open previewing the screaming segment. But the comments look to be more on Alex's side, despite the attempt to frame this as him being the solely unreasonable one, with the start of the clip:

Tim is so over Sam Seder, & hates talking about him so much, that he keeps engaging with him. Despite the fact that allegedly Sam's channel was falling into obscurity without Tim, the beanie boy decides to drag him back into relevance by making a video about him:

On 2 September, Tim made his return. The guest was Joshua Hammer, a conservative commentator & podcaster.
The co-hosts were Phil, & Tate the producer.

Clip Collection:
-Tim waives off criticism of him abandoning his hometown of Chicago, to live in a remote compound in the woods, claiming that if he had stayed it would have been "like asking someone to knock down a skyscraper with a ball-peen hammer". File this clip away for when the beanie boy squeals about people not risking everything to fight the way he wants. Despite a long convalescence, Tim has not changed:


-Tim says that after his severe case of laryngitis passed, the first thing he attempted to eat was Taco Bell:


-Tim does comment on Alex's performance as host, dogging on him a bit, but says he shall still be coming back for live events. Also, Tim talks about how YouTube gave him another channel, unprompted, which he used to host the Sam Seder video. But it looks like the new channel shall be for reacting to videos:

I was a little shocked the beanie boy did not yank the show considering Gavin extoled the benefits of doing cocaine, wanting to kill pedophiles, etc.

-Tim goes from condemning drone strikes, to "giving the benefit of the doubt" for the Trump administration destroying an alleged Tren de Aragua boat, because the government released the video. Releasing the video means it was not a bad thing, because the state would try to hide it if it were, says Tim. Gavin spares no sniffles for them, as long as it was not cocaine being destroyed, doing a wink-wink about how he absolutely never does it, ever:


-Remember when Tim ripped the show off the air when a guest talked about wanting to toss pedophiles out of helicopters? Apparently, that is not the response to threatening nonces, now, because Gavin talks about lynching them, & getting a gun to shoot people preying on pre-pubescent children. & not a word from the beanie boy:


-Gavin asks how much money Tim makes, which is around $15 million a year, but the beanie boy clarifies that is before expenses, taxes, etc. During his breakdown of these finances, Gavin questions the truthfulness of his previous claims of not caring if he gets banned on YouTube, if that much money is on the line. As well, Gavin argues that the alleged 16-hour days Tim claims to work is not "feasible", before correcting himself to have meant not "sustainable". Tim lays out his schedule, which includes looking on his phone for notifications & news, as well as administrative work (which he previously said his wife did), but admits the work load may end up killing him. Gavin notes as Pepper, Tim's daughter begins walking, he is going to want to spend more time with her, & less doing those long days:


Elad begins nervously arguing for Tim to keep working, so he can retain his job, under the cover of how the show was terrible without the beanie boy. Tim talks about how he was sick for three weeks, including needing a trip to urgent care, because he refused to take a break, or delegate his responsibilities. Gavin pushes Tim to scale back to a single show, two hours long, so he can spend time with his family. Tim behaves as if he is doing some immense service, regurgitating news stories, claiming "work must be done, if I'm not gonna do it, who is?" & if he is not working "the world burns down". Gavin laughs at that. After some more discussion, Tim sees the merits of Gavin's approach of less-is-more:


The beanie boy acknowledges that consolidating his shows would give about the same viewership, as it is split by making so much content, over so many channels. Gavin, again, highlights that means more time with family, though he jokes about the rest of the panel "glaring" at him, because it may leave them out of a job. Elad vents his spleen about being the only one dependent upon Tim for income, noting Phil has his band to fall back upon. Gavin advises Tim consolidate his shows, & make his own website to host the two-hour programme, so he is insulated from potential bans. Tim says if that happens, he would most likely just join up to one of the pre-existing networks, instead:

This shouldn't be a problem for the panel, they should really consider how they can make their own path if Tim's show is as big as it is. Even Pop Culture Crisis seems to actually have some kind of viewership these days even if it's not great it's doing much better than expected. Tim's biggest issue is he brought on a bunch of half assed attempts to make something real instead of seeing if he could improve existing talents that are on a growth pattern that fit within his realm but aren't parasitic to him.

There's a logic behind this, but it doesn't work for Tim, he depends on mainstream platforms to survive and see any kind of growth. He's not niche or entertaining enough to make a walled garden, but neither does he really need one as he can function on normal platforms because he's such a shill.

Something Tim should have tried was doing some niche shows with other staff on platforms like Kick or Rumble to see if they could get any traction there as he had the resources. I'm guessing those would have signed some kind of deal if he could drive traffic there but by using other shows to do that he gives them a better chance to grow and make any kind of money while not jeopardizing his cash cow. He could even make some of those shows more extreme and wild on those platforms to give them more of a niche he can't do on Youtube.

While that may have been a wise choice, I fear Tim is incapable of not having some overriding control over things. Requiring people to work, & even appear as guests, from his compound in West Virginia being a perfect example. It would be much easier to promote talent, & even have better guests, if he just was willing to loosen up on that requirement. But Tim fears if he is not maintaining a constant watch on something, it will fall apart. But this was not due to his lack of attention, but his terrible choices in personnel (e.g. Rocco Castoro, Emily Molli), business ventures (choosing a historic building for his coffee shop), & insistence on being the correct one, in all things.


If you all recall the Tenet saga, from last year, Lauren Chen & Liam Donovan, her husband, were getting money for that venture from Russian sources. Tim, & several other conservative content creators, licensed their shows to appear on Tenet, after being approached by Lauren & her beau. The Russians thought they could influence the creators to push a Russian perspective, as stated in the complaint, via Lauren & Liam. Lauren has decided to make her return, almost a year to the day from her last post, to claim she was wrongfully accused, & that the investigation is done. Also, she claims that the government seized nearly all her money, & is begging for donations to her GiveSendGo:

On 4 September, Tim had Conor Tomlinson, whom has budded off from The Lotus Eaters to make some content of his own, as the guest.

-Tim argues that "people don't need news, anymore", because there has been a push-back on leftism's excesses, & Instagram is letting "guys with burger king hats" jokes remain up. This being the reason Tim sees his views down, from where they were:


-The beanie boy decides to lecture his guest on what "woke" means. He deploys his "cult-like adherence to the liberal orthodoxy", motivated primarily by money. Conor takes the definition of woke being "gay race communism" & a pursuit of "total egalitarianism". Tim cannot accept this, accusing the Briton of "excising out large portions of the influential liberal base" & ignoring the impact of grifters:


Phil steps in to remind Tim of the post-modern influences in woke. The beanie boy fails to understand this, & says it only emerged in the 2010's, when news articles began using leftist language in greater abundance. The manlet musician has to explain post-modernism was not new, but has roots dating to the 1950's, though Tim continues to refuse his accept his argument's merits. Tim summons a Star Trek reference to prove his case, & refute Conor & Phil's reality-based ones. The best part is Conor explaining how the situation Tim cites is from George Orwell's 1984, which Tim was unsure about. Tim continues, by arguing that leftists critical of him were willing to show up to his park, after being offered money. Also, the beanie boy claims Boonies HQ is "one of the highest-selling skate companies, in the world, for boards". Tate is just scrolling his phone during this:


Conor notes there are many true-believers, but Tim refuses to accept this saying, "it's all of them". The beanie boy moves the goalpost to people "who know they're lying". When asked why Islam comports with woke, Conor says it is due to criticism of colonialism, & Phil agrees that this also comes from the blank slate concept, but Tim does not accept this, again. He shifts, once more, to "most" people espousing woke beliefs, now, are merely in it for the money:


-Tim is incensed at the idea of India paying people to spread their message, on social media, demanding Trump increase tariffs on them as a punishment. He even made a post about how accounts pushing the Indian line should be "instabanned". Funny, as I cannot recall Tim having this same furor for Russia when Tenet was revealed to be getting money from that nation:


-Tim continues to defend the honour of Robert White, his favourite loony troony. The beanie boy tries to push that banning troons from owning guns could lead to conservatives being labelled mentally ill by "city doctors" & having their 2nd Amendment rights infringed. Conor argues that taking HRT, getting surgery, etc. should be a clear enough line for mental illness, but Tim counters this, claiming performing "cosmetic surgery" to look like a woman is not enough to label someone mentally ill, & be deprived of gun rights:




On 5 September, Tim had Douglas Wilson, a preacher that spoke at the National Conservative Conference, as the guest.
Ian, & Phil, were the co-hosts.

Not a terribly clippable episode, simply the usual Tim talking too much, despite Ian & Phil trying to get more out of the guest.

The beanie boy makes up several over-the-top scenarios to rebut this, asking whether you choose a black military man, & one in a suit, or a white drug addict. Jack pushes back that those examples are very extreme opposites, but does not refute the statistical reality of certain groups being more likely to be criminals. Tim continues to argue statistics are not wholy accurate, as he can cite a neighbourhood in Chicago with a higher than average black population & allegedly lower crime than average. Tim's liberal tendencies come to the fore, as crime statistics are discussed, he has to bring up how not all high black population areas are crime-ridden:

I didn't catch the full episode yesterday, but Ian was on the panel and it seems that the assassination really rattled him. I have no idea how closely Ian knew Charlie, but I get the impression that this murder made him angry in a way he didn't know how to handle.

While the panel discussed catching the killer and prosecuting him to the fullest extent of the law, Ian would chime in with things like, "But we shouldn't torture the killer. Torturing the killer to death would be going too far. Torture is wrong."

I have no idea if arrangements are made at the compound to watch over Ian, but I hope there's something, because I'm actually worried he might try to "calm himself down" with some kind of dangerous stimulant.

Ian has always been very sensitive, when assassinations come up. I recall him having a nightmare of being shot, himself, after Ron Paul talked about the government's alleged involvement in the killing of John F. Kennedy.



On the day of Charlie Kirk's assassination, 10 September, it was a sombre outing, with Chuck Gray, Secretary of State for Wyoming, as the guest.

-Though I believe Ian is so emotional over this, as well, is because Charlie would actually let him get all his thoughts out before responding to him. Unlike Tim, who usually interrupts before Our Graphene Guy can get his point across:


-Tim extends an unhealthy amount of grace towards Hasan Piker, claiming he was telling people to stop celebrating the assassination, despite never actually seeing it. Having read it, it comes off more as fearing for his own safety, than a more genuine call for ending violent rhetoric. Which Hasan is quite guilty of, himself. Phil, rightly, notes the trembling Turk is "an anti-American communist", therefore "the worst". & looking at Hasan's reaction to Charlie getting a moment of silence at a baseball game, Tim does admit Hasan has said terrible things, but still tries to defend him. The beanie boy argues that Sam Hyde overstepped things by saying he was going to kill him & leftists take these statements seriously. This robbing of all liberals' agency, leaving it up to people right-of-centre to act appropriately, as well as the history of violent threats from leftists Tim received, seems remarkable:




On 11 September, Tim had Jay Johnston, an actor, & comedian, as the guest.
