Nah, I gotta press X to doubt here. Tim has all the wishy washyness and indecision that is so typical to the left. He and Joe Rogan are both like that.

The amount of times they both say 'I don't really know much about...' when talking about conservative viewpoints gives it away. It's more like a natural consequence of bottom-up politics. Without getting into the philosophies of various American parties (The Democrats have proven they change all the time anyways), the Two-party system is the result of consolidating electoral power. Why? Because when power is split in more than 2 ways, it's not necessarily equal. Which is a reason why multiple parties form coalitions. We see it in British politics too. Technically, they have four parties: Tory, Labour, Green, Lib Dem. The distribution of power, however, is not equal as the former 2 control the most seats between them and the other two are minority parties that typically follow the lead of a major party. In the US, the two party system is similar in that we have third parties, but are statically insignificant. The one time when we had credible third parties that could win a presidential election was in 1860, which threw Lincoln's legitimacy into question since he won the electoral college, but with a number under 51%.

It is also important to note that even in the two-party system, a major party can still fall out of favor and cease to exist. It happened to the Federalists and the Whigs. They may seem invincible, but neither party is and they know it. It's part of why Trump is so terrifying to the politicos.

I actually find him worse than Glenn Beck at his worst. Beck was a shrieking weirdo, but his show was very obviously conservative confirmation bias. He delivered on what he promised even if the content he made was stupid. Tim Pool is just as much of shrieking weirdo, but pretends to be an unbiased reporter that also creates conservative confirmation bias. I don't agree with David Pakman or your general Leftist on much, but they are totally right to doubt the fuck out of Tim Pool's claims on anything. It's why I find him a net negative for his side on the culture war, he agitates, but doesn't lead them anywhere.

Him "fact checking" news stories and calling out "media basis" would be interesting.

But he crosses the line from "journalist" to just repeating talking points and being emotional. The emotional appeals is how you get engagement.

I do find his timcasts about how people are leaving the democratic party to go to trump. And how the left started to eat him. But honestly he should have his hapa ass over at the riots and not just making 13 videos a day.

Meh, I agree with @Dreamer. I understood what Tim was trying to say. It's Twitter; there's not much room to say it. They have an unsustainable business model and the only thing keeping them alive is a regular diet of Trump.

No different than saying Gamestop would go out of business overnight if Microsoft and Sony said no more physical games. Their business model is based on a regular diet of resellable games and that's the only thing keeping them alive.
