There's worse things to have as a character flaw.

I mean, the T-ranch folk are killing everything living on their property through neglect, mismanagement, and stupidity.... I can't fault a man for trying to nurse the runt of the litter himself instead of just killing it as any seasoned farmer would do.....


Every batch of chicks we got had 1 or 2 that would suffer leg tendon failure as they grew and become lame.

14-year-old-me tried to bring them food and water before Dad told us that there was nothing we could do, they wouldn't get better, and the only humane thing to do was butcher and eat them as chicken dinners....He'll learn eventually and if not? He's really hurt no one, or if he has by extending suffering, he's at least misguided vs malicious, he has the capacity to learn the "right" way to deal with sick animals in your herd, it's the people who have neither the capacity nor the interest in actually getting their hands dirty that still present as experts on raising animals that both do it wrong, and make it hard on those doing it right with sociopoliticaly-motivated interference....

Is it just me, or was Tim super manipulative in this podcast? His guest goes on a rant (I found it interesting, but your mileage may vary), and he keeps interrupting him so that he can talk. Then he seems to deliberately reframe everything to make the average white liberal the bad guy because... reasons?

Tim's becoming more and more of an asshole. And apparently called Ian "evil." He's cheering for cops to quit their jobs and also saying the police should be abolished because politicians aren't fair.


He says that it's evil to arrest someone for carrying an illegal firearm, but is going full joker and basically saying that all people in cities should get what they fucking deserve for voting to defund the police.

It's the friction between the principle and the reality. I can see the appeal of that stance considering people aren't really going to get upset enough to do something about anything until things get much, much worse.
