You have a good point. In a way I would go as far as call him a less entertaining and more sad version of Alex Jones. I am waiting for him to start peddling supplements soon.

Jones has more charisma and showmanship in his pinky finger than Pool has in his entire career. The fact that Pool thought 'fact checking' was time well spent while being lucky enough to have someone like Jones as a guest just reinforces this to the extreme.
