It looks like Toboscus is the latest online personality to be the target of a rape drama here. Heads up, it's long.

We dated and he cheated on me after he promised me a video game youtube host spot!! Then he called me a faggot nonstop and and cheated on me and then drugged my drink maybe and he maybe raped me one time, I don't remember, anyways, that's my story!

It’s a pretty long screed, but there’s not very much in terms of SocJus dogwhistles, either in the post or on the rest of her tumblr. I've also heard at least some confirmation that Toby isn't a very nice person in general. I'm inclined to think this one may be true.

And here’s Toby’s mom defending him, while incidentally confirming several details as well.

Now there's a name I haven't heard of in a while.

Tobuscus was kind of like a proto-Pewdiepie. Same kind of inoffensive effeminate white guy that played games and made bizarre high-pitched noises when he did so. Gained some popularity back in '09 - '10 back when he started doing "literal" songs for game trailers and also "original songs." Five, six years ago they were cheesy but bearable. Nowadays though, they're pretty cringey... enjoy!



As for the accusations, I don't really know much about Toby, but I wouldn't be surprised. Never trust the squeaky ones.

He's pretty much fucked, though. Despite the complete absence of proof, the Tumblr legbeard hivemind will come down on him like a ton of bricks. Just like it has happened with every other accused e-celeb.

Yet another person who turns to blogging about rape rather than contacting the authorities about it

She's doing this because the guy was a dick to her and she wants to try and ruin him as much as physically possible.

I don't doubt Tobuscus was probably a huge dick in his personal life but if he actually did a criminal act like rape it's not something you should tell publicly to everyone if you actually want to see him punished for it. This infact greatly hurts a potential court case against him. Almost any detective will tell you publically telling everyone about the crime before filing charges will lead to the accuser being more likely to destroy evidence and nullifying the chances of him being caught. Imagine if Tobuscus actually had evidence in his apartment of the rape that now no longer exists because she was a retard and thought telling the entire world and not the police he did it was a bright idea.

So much of this post complains about how he cheated on her and how he lied to her and the story about how he raped her is almost dropped in out of nowhere. Nevermind she admits to having sex with him and consenting

I wish I could say I stopped talking to him after that. But we all know that’s not true. He said he would change his ways and I took him back again. March 2, 2013, I go in his bathroom and see a black thong and condom in his trashcan. He’s in the other room gaming, so I walk in there and grab him by the arm and he’s shocked, but I take him to the bathroom where I have put the items on the floor and I push his face down towards it. His response??? “what?” 'WHAT?!?’ “yeah what?…so?” and I’m livid. I say ‘Who the fuck is she?’ He tells me “It doesn’t matter. You’ll never meet her.” I really wanted to destroy and break everything in his house on the way out, but I just grab my stuff and go. Done.
Except not, bc I’m an idiot and I stay friends. The last time I ever have sex with him is Memorial Day of 2013. This isn’t by choice of course. This is a violent hate fuck after he thinks I am flirting with Max Landis at his (Toby’s) bbq party. Then of course I find out he was hooking up with another girl from the same party who is also a friend. The list goes on and on.

She talks about rape as if regretting having sex with the guy is the same thing as him forcing her to have sex with him. She talks about how he raped her at one point and how he tried to kill her. She kept trying to have a relationship with him for over 2 years after this.

Being a terrible person isn't the same as being a rapist. A single person's accusation isn't proof. Until the police actually investigate him he's innocent until proven guilty.

Several more soc-justiceish groups do believe this anyway and considering that it's a tumblr post it may be to be expected.

What I hate about this post is it's counter productive.

If she went to the authorities with this. They would've spent time collecting evidence and maybe they would've gotten a search warrant for Tobuscus's apartment to identify if the rape actually happened.

Now whatever evidence, if there is any, no longer exists because he knows about it. And any evidence that might be there is most likely inadmissible. She destroyed the chances of him ever getting actually prosecuted for this unless she has actual hard evidence on him. And if she did she would've filed charges.

This person is either so stupid that she honestly thought telling the public and not the police would get him punished. Or she is lying. If it's the latter if Toby was smart he'd file libel and defamation charges against her.

I don't understand how people can make the argument that they're too scared to go to the authorities to report a rape, and then turn around and make a post about it on tumblr where there are potentially thousands of people they don't know who will see it.

And now the accused knows the person's making rape accusations...without notifying the police or anything.

Logic.

While I agree that opting to try someone in the court of public opinion likely hurts your chances of prevailing in a court of law, how much evidence can be gathered in a rape case that's over 2 years old? Physical evidence, anyway.

Even if they couldn't find physical evidence, they could get testimony.

Now Toby can change his story in response to hers. It's highly unlikely even if the police investigated that they'd find any way to convict him now.

It's more so an indication of how insincere the author is. If she really wanted him to be punished for raping her she would've gone to the police. It's the biggest indication to me that she's a liar.
