If the list eas games as a kid, Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga would be on it. Witcher 3, FTL, and Sleeping Dogs are some others I particularly liked but didn’t finish (W3) or just had to pare it down to 10.

I always have trouble with "favorite" questions, but these are some that have stayed with me long enough to say "it's not just recency". I'm also gonna cheat within franchises.

-Suikoden (all of them, best is 2)
-DMC 3 and 5
-Breath of Fire 4
-MGS in general, 3 is best for story, and I'm not gonna lie, I like V too despite everything.
-Dark souls 1 and 3
-Bloodborne
-Monster Hunter (particularly Freedom Unite, Generations, and World)
-King of Fighters (any and all, really)
-Binding of Isaac
-Burnout 3 and Revenge

I can't say Skyrim is a favorite, but it did hold me hostage for a long while. Other games that I wouldn't call favourites but I did like a lot and held me for a while were RDR2, Grounded, Death Stranding, BOTW, Enter the Gungeon, Bioshock 1 and 2, Subnautica.
