I guess Homeland security did an ICE AI thing and troons are freaking out. But the thing is, most are just using this to be mad. I really don't think chronically online TF "people" really care for the people behind it (at least the ones that were their since its inception/peak phases) It's just more ways to act out their fetish. Not even MATI for this. Just very, very tired. Hasn't even been 2 weeks and most are back to consooming and drawing shitty ship art.

What I'm trying to say is that 'who cares, a man died, none of this online pearl clutching matters in the end'. It's just more energy wasted on their parts. ((And frankly I never gave a shit about them bitching about Peter getting an AI voice. We all know that would just be a voice bank and Hasbro's gonna find a way to get around it/milk it. Just like how they'll milk this sad situation))

My nihilism knows no bounds.

And of course there's the backshot 65 usd btw
In years past these "mattel creations limited exclusive" hotwheels transformers would just be normal fucking releases for like 5-10 dollars. I don't see the premium price reflected in any of these things and it never ceases to piss me off. Like this is shit that'd sell like hotcakes if you put it out for general release and it's not even complex engineering. Fuck hotwheels USED TO LITERALLY HAVE THEIR OWN TRANSFORMERS AIMED AT KIDS. I HAD SOME OF THOSE AS A KID.

SEO now only brings up the transformers branded ones and not the guys that went from cars to guys on a skateboard and shit I can't remember the name of. I know the ones prior to those that turned into monsters were "attack pack" though.

Also there was this little fucker who's just a robot laying down he's got a generally strong presence.

I'm currently wrapped up in some shit I gotta be present for but at one point during the journey I stopped at a walmart due to some things being forgot in the packing process. Lo and behold it's the one walmart that actually has transformers stocked. They had the 100 dollar onslaught and every 40th energon repaint exclusive save for the purple weaponizer. Naturally I do not have the kind of money for onslaught and all the other shit available so I bought the Megatron. Even with it's weird issue from using the miner shoulders/torso and cheaping out on the sword blades on the cannon barrel it's clearly the figure the wave was an excuse to release given it's the same colors as the pulse exclusive galvatron from a few years back I also managed to get. All the figures had odd QC on the panel line paint but I think I got the best one. Will send side by side pics when available to do so in a few days.

I am tempted to get optimus and slammer but have no reason to go to walmart considering my area is kindof bare with transformers. Sure they might be there but ion if I can trust the clear plastic enough
For the last like over a decade barring some exceptions like ss86 jazz the thinner and load bearing parts of transparent figures have been done with opaque plastic to try and prevent that clear plastic brittleness issue transformers tend to have. Optimus might have the QC issue some siege optimus copies have made worse by the clear plastic but I don't know if that'll be the case or not cause I don't got one and my siege optimus figures both seem safe from the "exploding torso hinge" issue I've seen a few horrific images of when siege first came out.

Target has a bunch of Apology Tour merchandise like a Prime head popcorn bucket and other things like a silver stuffed Dead Optimus doll. But most of this merchandise is the 1984 cast that all get killed off! They really should have the 1986 cast front and center. At least the T-Shirt looked to be the 1986 movie poster with the proper cast.

I haven't seen any of that at target, just bare shelves. Likely scalper network shit again like starscream preorders.

I found out though that they have weird transformers battle beast style figures and nobody I've seen bring them up so far (not actively seeking out people talking about them) made that obvious proportional connection.

Gonna have to double post since edit time has passed, but another walk of my journey took me to a target and a walmart. The target actually had a dedicated slot for 86 starscream but AS ALWAYS EMPTY SHELF. They had a bunch of the battle beast styled arcee and shockwave 2 packs though. They're a lot flatter in person in a way I decided "maybe later if they go on discount or I see them when I got more to spend". They seem like pretty decent albeit oddly proportioned stylized figurines though regardless of the kinda retarded price of like 15 dollars for two.

The walmart had cybertronic so I grabbed him. considered getting two of him but then remembered deluxes are almost 30 fucking dollars now. Mildly disappointed cybertronic's faceplate is the same color as his visor instead of picked out in panel lines like the stock images but he stil looks cool. Could see him paired up with fast track and roritchi if you have those guys. The solid faceplate makes him feel a lot more like a solid chracter than megatron's blatant intent of being the second figure in the reformatting homage thing galvatron started.

I wonder if the aligned continuity was actually aligned how would it look
Maybe a lot more like the WFC games, probably not but it'd at least be interesting. It's still fucking baffling looking back because they took several clearly not connected things and said they were one continuity that was supposedly more coherent than what they'd been doing for years of either tacking on more sequels to or rebooting g1 to the point takara had that official "dimension guide" timeline chart to make sense of everything. Like somehow shit that crosses over with other stuff that's a sequel to something else that's a sequel to the other thing but not in a matching way is still way more coherent than "aligned" somehow.

Recently noticed the toyworld fort max still goes for around what it did when it first came out (which checking the date was over a decade back now jesus) and I'm guessing part of the reason for that is he's only leader class size rather than titan and nothing else really scales with him in base mode. Still out of my price range but if I find one for slightly cheaper I might be able to do a pay in 4 if nothing else comes up in the next several weeks. I dunno he just seems more worth it than commander class figures that are now literally his price while being voyagers with trailers or 2 deluxes and a trailer. Or one voyager and three minicons.
Also why the fuck are ebay sellers trying to sell earthrise fast track for over 100 dollars all of a sudden? He's not even a major or even mildly important character, wasn't hard to come by a few years back when he came out, and is still showing up pretty much everywhere used figures get sold for decent enough prices. Is it literally because he was used as a generic decepticon trooper in one of the JP exclusive g1 seasons or something? I haven't seen anyone army building him so I don't think that's what's driving whatever's going on here.

i got commander onlaught for a good price yesterday and when i put it in bruticus mode my wife instantly knew i still had to pay at least 150 more just to complete it.
yeah i get it, 'specialy because the entire robot is already there, and the rest is just decoration.
kid thinks the truck is sick though.

It's worth it though. He's so good in hand.

yeah he does feel better then menasaur(if he has all the limb bots) but motormaster as a truck will always have a soft spot for finding a way how to make the cartoon model work.
just sad that they had to make bruticus a frame combiner as he was the one that works without the gimmick.

kid thinks the truck is sick though.
It is and it's a shame he's walled of behind a 100 dollar paywall while being a figure that years ago before characters with trailers and combiner torso bots got slotted in commander class would have been leader. would have been an instant buy for me if he was $50.

I've been on and off considering doing a pay in 4 on a decently priced ER scorponok or black zarak since I've been seeing some good listings of those sometimes packed with other figures recently on top of my other thought about the the toyworld fort max stuff. There is no world where the two figures scale with each other. Only concern aside from money shit is the sheer size of the thing since I'm still trying to figure out a decent spot for that devastator he's larger than if I do end up getting a used one. Speaking of used figure listings, I'm tired of ebay scalpers hiding their price in shipping. there is no way a figure coming via the slowest shipping possible (usps ground) would cost 165 dollars to ship.

...I really gotta start selling some shit off again to get these pay in 4s paying faster man.

Can't edit post because time ran out again but I have done the insane pay in 4 plan on the cheapest one I could find. Not one of the scalpers obviously but I'm in the tight zone cause I also got a bunch of busted used/slightly customized figures a while back I also did a pay in 4 for. Reason I got those is due to several custom project ideas I've been slowly working on.

You'd think the cheapest one would be the one that had a reissue very recently, but no it's the exclusive repaint that didn't get a reissue I found for a "pretty much a little under current msrp if it was reissued" price.

I just realized what bugs me about the titan scorponok mold.
It shrunk the chest window/vent area so no logo could be put there and gave the logo the same general placement as tidal wave. You can see it with the even more expensive non-transforming one that was made by that company hasbro and takara were letting do transformers for a bit years ago, the g1 cartoon models, and the g1 toys.

There ARE shots in the cartoon where the logo changed place to the lower torso area inexplicably and one of those isolated is what shows up when you look up "g1 cartoon model scorponok" as the first fucking image so it's likely they based it on that and then realized they fucked up and couldn't go back.
1789594231219.png
This has led to several years now of scorponoks with an empty silver square area clearly meant for a decepticon logo and a spot under it with the actual logo on it. Both torso designs look fine but it's kinda surreal that I just noticed this shit now.

I've never gotten into/watched brave but I found out the company that did the high quality KO reproductions of scorponok and black zarak are doing an unreleased brave figure which is really neat.
