Ultraman series - Horror thread

The manga this is based on is by the Linebarrel boys. Everything they do is contentious.

Supposedly,

The Bemular in this is the OG Ultraman.

Kinda reminds me of the "Netflix Original" Cyborg 009...AKA a totally boring piece of shit.

My baby brother likes Ultraman, so I'm going to be watching it with him. As much as I think it should be better for a streaming-exclusive show, I'm not put off by the animation whatsoever as I've seen worse. I can put up with it for 12 episodes.

This CGI animation is really an eyesore for me. I can't help but enjoy 2D more, and this looks like the same animation from every other shitshow on Netflix. Like the Godzilla movie, and every other 3D anime on Netflix.

Never watched it or the old series, so I have no nostalgia.

I think it might be the same studio who did the Godzilla anime film. OOF

I've only ever watched the original Ultraman series and that was a nice slice of delightful cheese.

I am disappointed that this took on the 3D look akin to the Godzilla anime trilogy.

Was there something wrong with 2D animation from Japan? Is there some issue I'm not aware of? Why can't we go back to having this shit look cool?

I was so excited for animated Godzilla and animated Ultraman because, in my head, they looked like something akin to Attack on Titan or Evangelion. Not beta test Pixar.
