ValiDate - an upcoming (and unsurprisingly racist) visual novel made by SJW's, for SJW's. Currently MIA.

I'm gonna get Freudian in here and say that her subconscious is projecting her hidden desires for a white man/woman in her life.
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised. A lot of “pro-black” Twitter accounts and accounts that rip on white people almost always have a white partner. The more they act against it, the more blatant it is that they’re compensating. It’s like the racial equivalent of Haggard's Law.

Dani is the game dev and director. 4D chess marketing ploy or not, it's her fault for making the two conventionally attractive white. Instead of reflecting on why she decided to make all the black and brown characters act and look like unironic caricatures she's now blaming everyone else for not liking them.

At least other people see how hypocritical she's being. I don't believe she realizes that admitting the white characters are for marketing only goes against the game's "for us, by us" thesis.
This is like when she unironically made Malik the nicest chill guy in the roster by process of everyone else being a whiny self-centered cunt that went on a meltdown when asked about pronouns and then was shocked at how much positive reception he was getting. If Keaton is so bad, why on earth does she keep bringing him up?
I’m glad other people are waking up though, if we’re lucky, they just might get her before the year ends.

Imagine being excited that your favorite visual novel about struggling singles is adding an Italian milf and TikTok e-boy as romance options and you get scolded and called racist for liking them and then the gamedev says she regrets ever adding them into the game.

I don't blame the ValiDate fans.

Dani may post the other characters everyday but Keaton and his mom are the only characters I see she hypes the most. She even RP'd as Keaton for a day on the ValiDate Twitter account. They are also the first people to go ACAB but will gladly go "call the police" if a white person is guilty

Hypocrisy and denial is one hell of a drug

The faggotry in all of these Tweets-
Looks like everyone's calling out Dani for her white milf fetish that I totally predicted. But anyway, why would you be mad if people liked your characters? Joke characters and fan favorites are gold for anyone creating visual novel, it's an easy way for them to make money. But of course, Twitter faggots don't see that behind they're "Whypipo bad" goggles.
Still pissed that "Pee Oh See" is still a blanket term for nonwhites, good Jim Crow shit there. And oh look, the two white characters are the only ones who aren't unlikeable and gross-looking (besides Malik of course, but we aren't supposed to like him either). Really shows how these people see their precious minority gays.
I'm actually a pretty big fan of diverse casts, but oh god, I'd fuckin hate it if anything I made gained traction on Twitter. It'd be some dumpster fire of landwhales harassing fans of the white character(s), and endless ree-ing over a shot of a dark-skinned character at sunset.
TBH, the phenomenon of angry black supremacists having white partners reminds me of how angry troons and fatasses get when people refuse to date them. You'd think all these people would not want to live with someone who hates a crucial (at least in fat activists's minds) part of their identity. Maybe it's some sort of self-loathing thing. I'm not sure why nobody is encouraging these people to find partners that actually find them attractive. Oh wait, these faggots don't actually like their precious oppressed groups.

Because of virtue signaling. The whole marketing scheme from the initial inception of the Kickstarter was "ew white people"

Naturally, that attracts those people like horse manure attract flies. But because everyone is a hypocritical loser, they began thirsting for the milf and the angsty ethot.

It reminds me of the "Tumblr sexyman" thing of yester decade where a majority of them were white men. Or inhuman characters that were turned into white men.

I can relate to that. I have a small personal project where the main 8 characters are of different races. It's not for precious representation points or whatever. You could change the races and they would still be the same characters. I made them all diverse to further highlight the differences between them as they are all of different ages and generations too. The youngest is 9, oldest is 54. I dread that it falls into the claws of twitter.

It's entitlement. It's the delusion that they are entitled to whatever they want because they are now a "marginalized" group and if you dare not bend over, you're a bigot...somehow.
No one encourages them because it acknowledges that they cannot fuck whoever they want and bringing attention to that is _phobic.

I do agree. I think diverse casts ultimately work in a lot of favor for series, especially ones about humanity. Making the cast more open to various races/sexuality/gender gives it a more realistic vibe. The world population is around 9 billion, I find it hard to believe a specific set of people will flourish unless there's some nazi-level eugenics going on.
That being said, there's a difference between a cast that is simply diverse and a cast that hinges its entire identity on being diverse. The latter is made out of characters who literally can't stfu about their erm, "uniqueness". Basically, validate in a nutshell. They have no hobbies or interests outside of their sexuality and gender. There's no meat on these characters, just fat.

It's inherently contradictory, you can't date your oppressors and then turn around and complain about said oppressors. So many of them are up their own asses that they fail to see their blatant hypocrisy.

If Dani wants to hype up a smoldering MILF of colour who people will thirst after, why not just make one? She could find plenty of hot women from any race for inspiration. She's also shoving more characters into the cast anyway. Then shift focus away from Keaton/his mom to endlessly thirstpost about THAT new character instead, the fanbase would snort it up like crack!

This whole situation is just strange. Especially since she made the two whites the most normal looking in the first place. It's almost as if she's a hypocrite who can't disguise her fetishes.

She could literally just put Ana from Overwatch in a different set of clothes and call it a day. Hell, for once I think the artist would be able to draw that just fine, too. She's clearly putting her hate-boner out there and getting angry that people like what they see.

I kind of feel the same way with my projects. Most of them are diverse, but that's because I like to create big, world spanning epics, with multiple cultures. Shocker, even in fantasy worlds, different places have different looking people.

Though, part of me craves to see the politi-sperging if I ever release the story about the dark skinned lesbian slave who's happy to be a slave. (Dark skinned cus she lives in the desert, happy because she's in a culture that treats slaves with respect.)
I can see it now: White person trying to make slavery look good, followed by an incomprehensible strand of emojis.

Edit to stave of Jannies: Honestly, if it wasn't Dani, I'd say this whole thing is fake outrage to drum up attention for this shit-stain of a game. But, I've been around enough woke people to know that makes too much logical sense to be true.

It's because these people think in the same way that racist people do, because they're also racist, just with a side of projection. American advertising uses fairly attractive people of several races, and it's pretty easy to find attractive people if the area you live in is particularly diverse.
My college has a ton of foreign exchange students, and I'd say most of them are pretty good-looking. Who knew Burundi had such a cute population?

I was about to say, Malik is one of the few attractive characters in this trainwreck and I wish he was in a better dating sim.

Maybe it’s not about race, but that you’re so obsessed with ticking every “REPRESENTATION!” box that you forgot to make them visually appealing in a dating sim of all genres.

You just described the owl house fandom.

Pardon me for derailing but this just reminded me of a conversation, I happened to be witness to where some idiot sperged on about how Owl House should be the standard for all animation because it had a "historical moment" (i.e. two "pure" lesbians) and cited Steven Universe as another "piece of history"

I have a strong feeling that these types of people would certainly salivate over ValiDate and some would even call it "historic media", ignoring the fact that there's LGBTIDGAF media fucking everywhere these days. It can't all be historic media.

Updating this thread because we now have confirmation on the price of each volume:
C06E4F6B-1600-463D-9CDB-49F4E44499B9.jpeg

Each volume is episodic and contains around 4 characters out of 13, so the total price of the validate experience is roughly about $45 (not including the inevitable DLC).

Nigga, 15$ a shot? Are they fucking high? Speds are literally releasing better quality shit for less or free. Nobody is going to waste that 15$ and decide to waste the next 30$.

Once again, best VN Katawa Shoujo is not only free, but actually good.

Why are you acting like this is something new?

That is very Northern sounding. I expect him to be doing his review with a pint of bitter, a lurcher on a bit of old string, and the gentle flapping of his coup in the background. It's too real for me, I need posh yanks!

Honestly, I could listen to some guy talking shit in any of the North English accents all day. Standard American just does not lend itself well enough for a proper rant.

Speaking of, I'm surprised none of the valiDATE characters to my recollection are fake English. You'd have thought there would be an accent thing going on with at least one of them given the creators are all dyed in the wool Tumblr girls.
