A lot of latinos are descended from various maya/nahua peoples. There's even still a lot of indigenous languages still spoken in various parts of Mexico. I could sperg for hours about colonial history and differences between native populations north and south of the border and all that shit but generic Mexican gamer chick does not deserve any deep thought. But she's clearly supposed to be POC and not purely of Spanish stock.

That all being said the fanart probably isn't related to each other anyway and I really doubt anyone working on this game has put any thought whatsoever into anything.

Sometimes, when I'm talking to cishet white boys I ask them who was a better Star Fleet captain, Hans Solo or Dark Vater. The looks on their faces are priceless.

I just finished reading this entire thread (including the let's plays) and I still have no earthly idea what the core story is behind this game beyond 'modern POC gendersped dating'. Have there been any hints towards actual story and conflict that I somehow missed?

Also did they ever update the sprites they released? The download is still missing at least two of these character's sprites but was thoughtful enough to include the copypasta Vriska Starbucks ripoff.
