I might have told this story earlier in this thread or maybe it was another one. But I have an aunt who was born in the 30s. The daughter of a white as paste daughter of Polish immigrants and a very dark Italian father. She was raised by her Polish grandparents and spoke Polish and English. And since she was darker skinned with black hair she was constantly taunted by kids who called her nigger and said she wasn't welcome in this neighborhood. A neighborhood that is majority black now anyway.
