ViacomCBS and Paramount Resume Talks to Buy Stake in Miramax (EXCLUSIVE)
ViacomCBS and Paramount Pictures have resumed talks to acquire a stake in Miramax, two insiders familiar with the talks told Variety. There is no deal in place. In November, negotiations were calle…

So Paramount's recombined parent company is back in talks to buy a stake in Miramax Films, which was Harvey Weinstein's studio.
This may interest you for several reasons.
- Forrest Gump and Pulp Fiction (the crown jewel of their library) would be under one roof.
- Saving Private Ryan, which Paramount made with Steven Spielberg, lost Best Picture to Miramax's Shakespeare in Love.
- Miramax was owned by Disney from 1993 to 2010.
- Paramount wouldn't entirely own the studio, but would instead probably own much of the Miramax's library of films made before and during the Disney era.
