Violence and Autism

I do not think that violent behaviour is an aspect of autism but I think that asperger syndrome causes a specific form of isolation which causes one to be more prone to mass shootings. I think that it probably has no effect or even a negative effect on other forms of violence.

I wouldn't say it's an aspect of autism so much as a derivative of an aspect. That being a lack of empathy, or at least an ability to understand others. It is easy to fear or even hate that which you don't understand, and it is easy to show violence towards that which you fear or hate.
I don't think that it quite works like that. I think that the lack of cognitive empathy is simply not sufficient to cause such behavior. It is more that once one gains an outsider status one will often become resentful towards the people who have excluded them and eventually when some autists like ER completely give up on ever getting socially included then that is the only option they see left

I don't think that autists "don't understand" neurotypicals in the way that you are talking about

I do not think that anything else would create the same type of isolation because conditions that reduce intelligence would likely reduce it below the point that they would feel these feelings (which would require an average or higher intelligence) and conditions which cause isolation due to something physically obvious would result in the resentment going towards the condition rather than the people
