General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

It's really not even that complicated

They weren't going to play it as a hiatus, as we just discussed the surrounding circumstances made it too clear that wasn't the case.

People are going to start asking for answers and trying to decide what in his stream got him bonked so they say up front "this is an internal matter" meaning there's nothing for folks to dig for, you give people enough info to placate them and not leave them wondering why he suddenly unannounced vanishes for 2 weeks. some people are gonna rrat and be melodramatic about it but that's always gonna happen even this notion that he was "flagellated" on their twitter is really dramatizing what was just a cut and dry announcement.

They announced the "INTERNAL AFFAIR" to the public because it was going to be affecting the public having him forced off the grid for 2 weeks, they didn't give detail because the specifics are irrelevant to the public, the only publicly relevant information was he was being put on suspension for 2 weeks.

make an example out of him to whom though, like even if one assumes this to be true, the only people this would send a message to would be other talents, and they would get that memo regardless of how a tweet is framed. the tweet is vague enough to not know precisely what he did so the only people internally who would "get the message" of them making an example of him would be the members that take the time to look into or ask what he got suspended for (if they'll even disclose that internally to other talents) and that would be true no matter how the announcement was phrased.

If it was meant to "make an example of him" it did so ineffectively enough that I can't really assume it was the intention.

On the whole this situation is a pretty run of the mill corporate wrist slap, 2 weeks might seem long but remember Nijisanji's liver downloaded some porn and got sent to the cuck shed for a month and a half. 2 weeks is really not that long.

seeing how chill cover management is i think i trust cover enough (maybe misplaced trust but) where if it was an internal misconduct they would let their talent to go on hiatus on their own terms ie. "hey guys im on hiatus". however something mustve happen where they couldnt trust vesper to do that and they needed to cut off his social media access immediately. or in cover's view, if allowed access something bad will happen

but why?

I saw Pippa trending on twitter for some reason and I was curious as to why people were talking about her

And because of this I came across my first...system streamer...

The resemblance is uncanny!

Pippa is one of eight confirmed members of the poly system I guess?

Their twitch channel has no content on it but does have a filled out about section.

I don't believe they will get all those games completed in 36 days. The wishlist goes to a dead page on Amazon so you cannot buy him (I assume him) Lego sets (I assume he's autistic) yet.

We'll see if he does anything more than remain a vtweeter, kinda doubt it.

It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. This is... the Bizarro Pippa.

A Pippa that grew up on the West Coast, with upperclass LGBT yuppy parents... instead of in a swamp somewhere with a redneck white trash family.

Not sure if this fits, but I remember a small indie vtuber by the name of Koopa Fortuna/Koopa_ch (Has switched to Twitch with same username) who has at least one stream on youtube where she does some 'gun cleaning ASMR (kinda)' stuff in which she mentioned that she has a SIG P238 (18:10 in the stream) and then she showcased her Foxtrot 9mm lower AR build that she wants to clean while streaming (52:09 in the stream).

On twitch, while the VOD is gone, one of her most notable clip (aside of gaming stuff) is her doing a gunpla talk stream before she decided to showcase her beeeg revolver and dry-firing it, before showing it and even pulling out the snapcaps and showing it to the chat. ( have no clue how to embed twitch clips, sorry)

I don't really think she fits considering she mostly do game stuff, but since she does technically have her own firearms and all, I guess it fits what you want?

There's also https://www.twitch.tv/gachaguns, I discovered him during a collab he did with Leaflit a while back, he's got a smaller channel, but he seems to enjoy his guns quite a bit.

I wonder if she gets a lot of flak irl for liking guns since she always talks about them in code
Nah, it's just her being under hololive and trying to skirt some rules.
I didn't watch it but I'll assume they sang some (or mostly) JP songs, which are fine to archive but clipping is usually disallowed as per the permissions.

The APEX Kaho Cup, presented by VEE's Syusetu Kohaku, is over.

final results

Ollie/Koho's team got first round, tempus + rpr won the 3rd round and ended the final round as 3rd which resulted in a final 2nd place.
From 3rd round on rpr took the lead after Axel beat himself up after being too aggressive. That was really the turning point for them, rpr really knows how to read the game (and of course has the gaming skills).
Was a really fun to watch, hope they gang up for future tournaments.

Still amazed by those vtubers that grind for literal years, with good rigs and props and are actually likeable but still get 30 to 60 viewers per stream. It really comes down to exposure.

From the way that she suddenly laughs to herself, you know exactly what's coming, yet it's the manner in which she makes the obvious visual joke funnier by denying it at the last second that makes Gura so precious:

Chat starts to freak out, and she rewards herself with a little triumphant smile of culpable deniability.

I've recently discovered how funny Kaela is. She's so perfectly deadpan, so bones in a desert for a hundred years dry, and yet so mischievous; she's utterly delightful. Kaela has that scary Asian grind focus - hence the 36+ elytras on her walls etc etc - and deports herself in a controlled, formal manner moreso than even La Lion, which then doubles the comedic impact when she's silly or suddenly expressive. Her silent muppet laugh is utterly disarming, magnified by the responsive rigging on her unusual model. Paired with someone naively credulous like Gura, she runs sly rings around her. This is well worth adding to your background playlist:

In this stream Kaela outs herself as a devoted Gura Lore nerd, to the point of trading 10000+ blocks of quartz for the infamously lame Atlantis doors, precious HoloEN joke artifacts that now proudly hang center-wall in her trophy room; it's heart attack levels of charming. The penny finally drops with Gura that Kaela is a superfan and utterly stoked to be performing with her idol, and she can't wrap her head around how someone so collected and competent looks up to her. It's these quiet little moments unfolding in real time that make Hololive so compelling.
