AUTISTIC DISCUSSION AHEAD
(As a short disclaimer, the Producer is not Joyce, the person discussed above.)
I'm actually ok with people using VR or VRChat as a platform to (somewhat cheaply) produce their web-series, but I'm pretty sure the main reason why the scene lacks talent is because despite being cheaper for the writers and producers. The actual base startup cost (per actor) is kind of more expensive than anyone would reasonably do. (To be clear, I think the writing is bad, but the video cinematography seems decent enough if not good.)
The art of acting, being involved and so on is barred off by not only by the nicheness, startup cost to buy equipment to just perform, but also these people's adherence to the status quo. I support this claim with the producers ties to be able to work with prolific 'Tubers such as
Filian,
ChrisQuitsReality,
Drumsy and
The Virtual Reality Show.

Let's not undermine how important this really is. The holder of the channel must have some kind of resume, but yet no known platforms of their own. They probably work on projects for other people, potential ghost editor/producer case scenario. There could be something important here that I'm missing that would explain how they've managed to work with these people.
Let me know if this line of thinking is too schizophrenic.
A Brief History of the Channel
As it turns out the producer
claims that the original trailer was a joke trailer. Maybe they don't see it as seriously as it seems they try to look but I don't really know, the whole metaverse thing seems like a marketing attempt to cash in on the MCU Endgame strategy but without any of the buildup, if that makes any sense. The owner of the channel has a history in
short GTA machinimas, and VRChat interviews. The one linked is also a trailer with no real release, and it's more blatantly a joke but something about the wait time on the VRC movie makes me wonder if this had a similar fate and was silently canceled.

Who Owns It?
Was able to find the producer's online persona,
SkyKing. [

Sky for some reason decided to write
his own Vrchat Legends Wiki page. [
A] It swaps from 3rd person to 1st person, and while the wiki is pretty empty all things considered, it's interesting a self submission would remain. I wonder if the people who run the wiki are ok with it, you would think that every post would have to be made by others.
Someone who's more familiar with reading wiki history might be able to find something telling, but I found him
editing a page on a Loli Police Department member's page. [
