Since VRChat is a platform geared around user generated content, neither PEGI or the ESRB could not assign a rating beyond Paternal Guidance Recommended, Online Interactions Not Rated By The ESRB orDiverse Content: Discretion Advised.

And to both of your examples; that's from content curated within the games themselves. Getting a game rated requires documentation or video of offending content for the boards to review and issue accordingly. That's apples and oranges with your arguments.

I've seen children as young as seven years old strapped into the oculus hotmic'ing on VRchat, there is undoubtedly a huge problem with enforcement on there. VR chat is an awesome idea and it's genuinely fun as well just being able to digitally move around in a virtual space and have conversations with people from all over the world but just based on how it's made it's absolutely impossible to do age verification on it and that's just going to fuck it up for everyone who just wants to have a good time eventually. Same with Roblox. I have no idea how this problem could be fixed other than outright executing every sex offender and tracking every single user and obtaining their data (which would be super creepy and dangerous in a few ways) but I would love to see it happen. Kids need to be left the fuck alone and good things don't deserve to die because of a minority of scum. RIP Sycamore.
