Gaijin Entertainment: EdenSpark will open a new path for indie developers on consoles (archive)
Gaijin Entertainment is proud to unveil EdenSpark, the first open-source platform that lets independent developers make their games accessible to console users hassle-free and truly own the code of their creations. Closed Beta Testing will begin this November, with a full release planned for 2026.

EdenSpark gives individual game creators an easy access to consoles, even without a registered company or costly legal paperwork. Anyone will be able to turn their idea into a game and share it with friends on PC, PlayStation or Xbox. At the same time, unlike closed ecosystems offering similar experience, EdenSpark developers will retain full ownership of their games.
Experienced programmers can dive deep into code, while complete newcomers can rely on AI-assisted tools to generate art, sound, and gameplay logic, or simply build worlds using plain prompts. It’s even possible to create games using a retail console with a keyboard being the only extra accessory you’ll need. EdenSpark is powered by Gaijin’s Dagor Engine, the proven technology powering blockbuster titles such as War Thunder, Enlisted and Active Matter, ensuring professional-grade performance for projects of any scale.

I'm more annoyed over the fact that the packs are $70, which are the same costs for the pre-order vehicles after every patch post-2023.

For reference:
- WoT GuP tanks cost $25 for each notable crew (Anglerfish Pz. IV, Kuromorimine Tiger II, St. Gloriana Churchill Mk. VII or Centurion I, Jatkosota BT-42, and most recently, Saunders Sherman Firefly). If you want all in, that is $113.
- WT Senrai Maidens are $70 for each pack (Kate - M1A1 HC, Elsa - Leopard 2A4M, Maria - T-80U-E1), to get all you have to buy all individually and that is $70 * 3 = $210.

EDIT: Holy fuck, why is the IJN Nagato pre-order $80 for 1 fucking ship (then again Tusk Force added the T58 Heavy for the same price).

Even funnier: take a look at the most recent trailers for both games' recent updates. There is a massive tonal difference I'm seeing. (Think CS vs Valorant).

But don't you want to pay a extra 45 bucks for Gaijin's cool and original characters? Who wouldn't want the dr pib version of popular anime characters!

And when i was finally free from this game, the Gaijin fucks added the one vehicle i i genuinly wanted to have, since i saw it in World of Warplanes all this years ago - XF5U Flying Flapjack.

And they know many others also covet this machine, cuz there won't be a market coupon for it - you grind that shit or you ain't getting it. 35k every two days, for 12 days...

it really annoys me that they started making these types of event gamemode-specific, because having to actually play air battles is so ass. just let me bully in ground battles for these events like i could in the good old days :(

As predicted, it is more of a collectible and interesting oddity, rather then a viable line-up occupant.

Some people also pointed out, that Gaijob nerfed its historical engine horsepower, which makes him lose practically all of engine power after two turns, making him

a situational ground attacker at best and a beached seal at worst. In those 11 days i have experienced enough dumb bullshit that i'll only consider coming back to this game, when

they'll introduce the Löwe as another event vehicle.

Don't forget it was so durable it could only be destroyed via wrecking ball.

Iron Storm, AKA World War Zero. My dad had it on PSX, or brand new at the time, PS2. The idea? The Great War raging on for 50 years, and World War II never happens, essentially. I can't remember why, but the Soviets are the big bads. Or some nutcase from his own separate faction is.

Sperg-thinking on it more, It might be something like the Doushkas helping tremendously in the Allies beating the Krauts, and they went all turncoat post-war, and began some Cold War-esque, New World Order scheme, but decades earlier than we're familiar with.

And there's a boss fight with a heavily armoured, decked out G.I. nutter type, who really loves that there's a war with no end in sight... until you raid the fortress and kill him, of course.

They changed it's engine's drag coefficient to improve it's performance. The problem is that it's a plane that can't climb, can't turn and it's not that high of a speed for 5.3. It needs to be lowered to 4.7 at the highest.

Ignore this, if you like. I thought I put it another thread.

Thoughts on the Bullet Hell event?
I know it just ended but I got to play a few matches and I absolutely love it.
It's so nice being able to actually dogfight with the top tier jets for a whole match and I love it's fast paced nature.
Personally I would like to see it for every battle rating where missiles are present, sure it would be a nightmare for aircraft that get their BR rating based on their missiles (A-10 i'm looking at you with pity) but I think it would perform very well.

I LOVE Bullet Hell, nothing special but guns only on high tier jets it chaotic, face-paced and fun. Its unique, different playing experience.
