Dante is not one you want to dismiss as just mastery fodder. He's probably one of the strongest frames in the game at the moment in terms of both supportive and offensive capability, what with being able to give yourself and your whole squad literal tens of thousands's worth of Overguard as standard, and an exalted Tome weapon that can be built to melt just about anything in front of you.

If you haven't gotten Dante yet in advance, the fuck have you been doing? For me this drop at least helps me get him again easily to send to the Helminth, plus the extra frame slot is always nice.
I thought Kullervo & Sevagoth were the strongest. Damn, guess I'm gonna try Dante now too.

Keep in mind, he's bound to get a lot stronger when his augment drops since it will allow him to regen energy for teammates.

They're also among the strongest, but they both fit different niches and playstyles. You have to keep reminding yourself sometimes that Warframes are all just the ‘classes’ you'd find in any other MMO or RPG, so the comparisons tend to become apples-to-oranges at a certain point.

Also, you can't leave out Mesa, Hildryn or Cyte-09 either from a list of “the strongest”, but I'm sure such a list wouldn't stop at them either.

Playing Valkyr after rework is probably the strongest I felt. You literally cannot die, and with OP claws everything else dies instead.

Gourmand is kind of a meme augment, honestly. I would use Hearty Nourishment (with 5 mobs, it lasts for the same duration as the ability itself) since it means you don't have to worry about status procs shutting off Persistence. Also, it's important to understand that Roar also increases the damage enemies take in his belly which poses two problems. The first, and most obvious, is you have to be more active to upkeep his internal enemy count. The second, and bigger, issue is that the damage of his 4 scales of the current HP of the puked up enemy. So, if enemy are taking more tick damage, it means they'll have less health when you throw them up and therefor to less damage.

If you want a subsume, I would recommend sickening pulse with some Emerald Shards set to toxin damage since it causes the ability to double dip for more damage than you'd think. It also gives the benefit of massive gas clouds everywhere.

Hm. Ill keep the gourmond. With my armor stat im immune to corrosive and id need to take a lot of heat for it to actually turn off. (Could probably swap some blue shards to make me fully resistant to everything but magnetic.)

I will try the sickening pulse though. Worth trying without the green shards? My archon slots are kind of tight.

Corrosive from enemies is fairly rare and can pretty much be ignored. What's more likely going to cause your trouble is going to be heat procs (which immediately cut your armor in half) and magnetic procs (which instantly turn off Persistence). In terms of shards, a single Tau Yellow for cast speed is all I would say is "required" and fill the rest with Emerald Shards if you plan on using Sickening Pulse. Like I said, Emerald Shards cause the ability to double dip when it adds a stack of Toxin which means it applies more than once and gives an damage output higher than expected. That said, if you don't plan on using it, than it's not as important. Really, I would just avoid Roar since I find the downsides outweigh the benefits.

1400 armor is all you need to be fine with heat.

Another options of the subsume slot is Breach Surge. The sparks scale with the damage that procs them, which synergizes well with Regurgitate's scaling damage.
Funny enough, the sparks also scale off damage buffs like Nourish which also lets them proc Viral. In fact, before we got Persistence, it's what I used as my shieldgating ability.

One of my favorite Breach Surge combos is using it with the Bombastine's Malice decree from Duviri: you shoot an enemy in the head and you have a chance to generate an AoE toxin blast with a guaranteed proc. The toxin DoTs in turn have a chance to set off Breach Surge... which have a chance to hit an enemy in the head... you get the idea.

ended up going 3 greens, a blue, and a yellow. Also swapped my aura mod to stand together as i realized its a bit retarded to have corrosive projection on him.

Now I might have to finally log in. I got like 11 umbra or something daft on my valkitty. She was all set up to work with a specific cat (I forget which).

I guess a lot has changed?

yes, but at the end of the day, no. they changed how the passive worked and some other things. she is still busted though.
