Hot take but prime (and probably nonprime) designs peaked with umbra. Its elaborate but not overdesigned, has a good balance of plastic, metal and cloth as well as several unique elements like the arm spurs and scarf to make is silhouette stand out without being stupidly extravagant.

Most primes nowadays are just overdesigned plastic with golden rims everywhere that make them look like clowns in any context that isn't warframe.

So can we assume that faggot was hired to develop nipply skins right after Umbra was released?
 
If I recall correctly Umbra was originally made specifically for the Chinese version since the Chinamen were told they weren't allowed to have Excal Prime.

Basically they kept they word on Excal prime being exclusive to the founder's pack, so the then chinese version (which was a totally separate game with its own server and changes) got Excalibur umbra as an exclusive. I believe that chinese version closed down after a few years and so Excal Umbra got reworked and put into the global version.

But who designed Umbra? They were saying skins got shitty after Umbra, so I was theorizing that it was probably not developed by that long nipple fetish freak who's been designing them since Zato.

Honestly, the kitguns, zaws, and k-drives aren't that bad to craft, level to 30 twice (once for k-drives), and then never use again.
The real pain to getting every bit of MR in the game is the Kuva/Tenet weapons (and also paracesis/voidrig/bonewidow) needing 180 forma (2100 plat if you buy it) in total, and having to level each gun 6 times. At least most of then are usably good, though.
Also the shitty odds and ends like Railjack derelict weapons (shedu, spectra vandal, crimson penta), Arum Spinosa, Sporothrix, Vandal Lato/Braton, FOMO weapons (baro, logins, events), Hate/Despair/War, or the Duviri melees are still much worse to grind than the modular stuff imo.

Yeah, Kitguns and Zaws are actually pretty good. Tombfinger is one of my favorite guns.

I'm not looking forward to the Kuva/Tenet stuff, though. I've played for years, and only have one Kuva weapon. It's a really tedious system.
 
Dante is fun. He's very reliant on being "complete" so I don't see anything to subsume onto him, just stack a bunch of ability strength and he's good to go with his insane Overguard generation and slash spam. I start off every game giving my team 14.5k Overguard on the first cast of his 4, and you can keep stacking it.

His Exalted weapon is fantastic and uses your energy pool as ammo reserve, so it's hard to run out. I don't even touch my other weapons as Dante. Sadly it doesn't do damage to Arbitration Drones, so it's kinda obnoxious to use him in arbitrations unless you mind swapping weapons constantly.

Farming these fucking book mods is going to drive me insane.
The Canadian nigger-tranny that conceived Mirror Defense deserves nothing but the worst.
 
Dante is fun and strong but I probably won't end up playing a lot of him. Using Tragedy to collapse DoTs is cool but usually everything dies too fast to take advantage of it. Meanwhile Gauss can scream through the air at 750MPH and press Thermal Sunder 15 times before you can get the second Dark Verse out. The other 3 variants of his 4 are just like playing Octavia and making sure to keep the buffs up at all times.

Noctua being good makes Grimoire even more disappointing.

Yeah, I ended up buying the book mod pack from the market. I was hoping they'd add the tome/tennokai mods to the bounty tables with the update, but nope, it's still all mandonels.
