Granted, I'm not familiar with the exact -crit thing your talking about so I might be completely off base.
Yeah what you mentioned isn't quite what I was talking about unfortunately but I do recall that with trins second ability. With unpatched mobs -crit damage rivens completely break the calculation of damage dealt by the gun it's installed on because of DEs spaghetti code, which wraps the damage back around to being positive despite the display still showing it's negative. I had a look and found an old clip I took while testing it during hostile mergers in the simulacrum (the simulacrum has its own dumb bugs, but this did also work in missions while it was unpatched) as well as a screenshot and the riven used:

riven.pngnegcritdamage.png

Also I forgot it kills shit so fast the mob itself freezes in place for a bit before despawning lol

Since I don't really enjoy using the most overpowered things in games, about a year or two ago I went for a few off-meta weapons with high riven disposition. They did the job in Steel Path just fine and, due to high disposition and nobody giving a shit about them, rivens were strong and cheap, maybe 30-50 platinum.

One of those was the Torid; now that it's one of the most busted weapons due to Incarnon, the rivens now go for at least 700 platinum on the market, a thousand with good stats. Moral of the story -- stop using meta shit, or at least explore beyond it, and life will find a way to reward you.

I finally got a riven worth a damn. This was its first reroll and I am considering just keeping it

Why are the vast majority of warfarme YouTubers insufferable and don't know jack shit about the game? Take a look at this fag.

The only shit he knows how to build is combo based scaling. It's the same build for every melee weapon without any care taken into capitalizing on its unique traits. It's a lot easier to capitalize on Harmony's 36% status chance than the 20% crit and explicitly gets perks for heavy attacking, so obviously the best path is to lean heavily into combo based crit.
These people learn nothing, but originality doesn't drive views.

This is why I don't watch a single "content creator" on youtube. They're all retarded faggots and have nothing to offer. It's just clickbait for nigger cattle.

Since everyone is playing Jade at the moment I decided to put her down and play with some of my less used frames. Settled on building Inaros with his recent rework. I have no real experience with this frame pre rework, but post rework he is a ton of fun. I can tank Jade Light eximus, and spread my corrosion procs into an entire room, and if I start taking too much damage I spin to win and make myself invulnerable.

He is not cheap though, I spent an Umbra on him in my experimentation and landed on this. I really wish I had Primed Vigor to throw on.

Eclipse on his 1 for the damage reduction. I can easily hit orange crits with my weapons and reds on occasion. I am thinking 2 green archon shards for more corrosion stacks, and then 3 blue health. Really enjoying the comfy playstyle of not really worrying about incoming damage. Steel path content has been pretty easy with him, and although I am not topping the end of mission charts in damage anymore, I feel like with the armor strip I still contribute a lot.

Any tips or suggestions? I am open to switching the Helminth to something out, am also looking for a thematically good weapon to go with him. Currently using my bog standard Acceltra, Nukor, Nikana set up. Was thinking of maybe giving him a spear, so looking into building a Guandao.

Inaros stuff
I have not changed mine since his rework but I’m a Lesion fan and use it on my tonk boi. He’s built to tank + gloom. It’s not particularly innovative but well, it doesn’t die and will solo pretty much anything (I have not played the newest patch mind).

Edit. I don’t have the new shards either but the corrosion could be down bad with Lesion.

I've been using Null Star quite a bit for damage reduction subsume. Plus side is that it's augment is pretty good at nuking low level stuff.

Can you link me your Lesion build? Mine feels weak. Also I swapped in Gloom onto the 1 and really like it, feels tankier than eclipse at least.

I’ll update and log on and get the Inaros, Lesion and whatever secondary I’m using (it’s a support secondary) builds. Probably nowhere near perfect but is food for thought. When I stop whoring M+ on WoW I need to spend some time getting the new shards and updating.

I do really like gloom on him.

Nukor secondary? Its my personal favorite I got a 50% magnetic one I use on almost everything. No rush, you should check his rework out though its really chill gameplay, I fear nothing.

I think I have a magnetic Tenet Cycron (I like having something that has infinite ammo) but it maybe a Nukor. I never use any of his abilities besides Gloom so will be interesting and possibly quite some forma to fix if they’re worth it. He’s literally my go to for solo Archons (mission type dependant) or checking out new content. There’s the occasional one shot from them fire dudes on the hunt but I don’t think anything can survive that unless they fixed the ability of them to one clap.

They baked his augment into the 3
Inaros summons the desert sands and sacred scarabs, offering his Health as a sacrifice to gain Scarab Shell, increasing his base armor by up to 350 and gaining immunity to Status Effects.
So hes immune to knock down when you have this, and it only ticks down when you get a status effect so its really really easy to maintain

His 4 scales off health and armor strips
Summon a Scarab Swarm to attack enemies with guaranteed Corrosion Status. Damage scales with Inaros' Health. Enemies killed while immersed in the swarm summon a Swarm Kavat that fights alongside Inaros and guides the scarabs to other enemie
This scales with green archon shards up to 14 stacks using those. Its really fun to watch the numbers spread into the map. Also lots of cats are fun, I use my trusty Smeeta Kavat which has the duplication mod on so I can get surrounded by half a dozen kitty cats at once.

His 2 is Sandstorm now, which I only use to gather enemies into a clump and regain health. You are also invulnerable while you channel it so you can probaly abuse things with that.

His 1 is the pocket sand which I have just subsumed off for gloom or eclipse.

Also his passive got reworked to be based around amount of hits you do, not enemies killed so you can return to life pretty easily. Ive only had it come up once though in the 6 or so hours I have played the rework.

My biggest complaint is that I do feel weaker powerwise, but the tradeoff is that I have over 9000 health and can tank pretty much any hit. Steel path level 200 enemies definitely die slower, but I can wade into them with no worries.

Here you go, I'm using a Nukor on him but that doesn't matter. You need to whack primary and secondary dexterity onto your guns as it compliments your melee.
The Lesion needs some work as well, my slacking is evident. Just swap it from viral to corrosive or have both, who knows what will be the most funny. Remember Lesion has innate toxin. There's specific maths to get it 50/50 but I don't think it really matters that much.

The riven isn't perfect and I can't remember exactly what I was after. Probably wanted reach in there as well over toxin but well it works (or worked at least) well enough.

Then tank boi himself. Ye ye I slack I know. I've pillaged his shards at some point as I only have 2 x melee crit damage ones on him. Lesion has a very low crit chance but that's where the speed comes in, hit fast enough and it'll happen. I normally run with an Adarza but god knows how bad my build is now. I'm not even taking a ss as I need a melee specific one - I have one for the Panzer I run with my Valkitty but welp forgot to do this one.

Edit: run Naramon

I will probably adapt a good amount of this into my 3rd load out. My only critque is that you definitely dont need Primed Sure Footed on him anymore Knockdown is considered a status effect and you can be immune to it using the 3. This gives me a good baseline for a melee focused build thank you.

Nice to free up a slot for something more fun. It was pretty tiresome having to stick that in everything. Let me know how you get on.

Finished The New War last night and whoever decided to require a Voidrig for those 5 minutes alone where I could have just nuked my way through with my Ember needs to hug a cactus. I mean I enjoy blasting Deimos with the rig, but fuck me getting those hecriphrons took longer than getting everything else combined, also fuck the Deacons and their bullshit lines of sight. Besides that it was a mostly enjoyable romp. How Ballas managed to pull a sun eating ship/thing out of his ass in the end is beyond me though. Also did some of the Whispers in the Walls and I really like the art direction in the these two quests, whoever designed all this must feel really bad that most people will just zip through these areas without looking at the scenery too much. I wasn't prepared for hiphop uncle Albrecht Entrati though.

You will spend a lot of time with this tileset going forward. Also has a pretty smooth and easy rep grind associated with it. Highly recommend saving 30k rep every week to buy archon shards to stockpile.
