the playerbase was already packed with furries and trannies, cramming in romances is going to be bioware forum levels of awful
I just don't understand, because almost everyone is incredibly ugly.

I hate Liger so much it's unreal, bros...
I swear that guy must be some sort of furry degenerate. The name plus his designs just trips my furdar, for lack of a better word.

Well, after washing out the rose tint from my glasses, here are my two cents on 1999's features:

  • The Hex's lineup seems... fine-ish to me, since the 90s were full of ensembles consisting of token members.
  • What surprised me the most is that a handful of people don't like Quincy's attitude. You'd think they'd be all over his niggerdick without question. I am hoping we get his rifle though. Saito Cyte-09 as a Warframe looked amazing.
  • Amir troubles me, because reading his bio makes it clear DE's going for "muh ADHD" with him. Of course they're sticking with fidgeting and hyperfocus as character traits.
  • The romance system... yeah, I have zero hopes for that. I like Lettie's hair though.
  • Eleanor's gonna be interesting because from the looks of it, she might be the only one who can talk to the Operator/Drifter directly at least in the Mall relay. She's made references to the whole paradoxical nature of the two of them as well as acknowledging the Lotus's existence. Amusingly enough the bio mentions she's taken a worse beating from the Infestation, a neat nod to Nyx getting devoured by Phorid.
  • Zombie boy band nemeses was not in my bingo card, but I find the whole thing hilarious.
  • I get the feeling the Scaldra are gonna be proto-Grineer of sorts, as Maj. Rusalka has so many parallels to Kela it's not even funny.
Couldn't give two shits about the cosplay trannies, the wind's blowing in the other direction and may the storm take them far away.

I’m hoping the romance system has no real effect on xp. Then I can ignore it like I do incarnation weapons (I know I’m missing out but I don’t like it so I don’t engage in it once ranked. It doesn’t stop me doing anything). Just like how I ignore Ligur’s shit skins.

DE have always been a bunch of degenerate fags, they’re just feeling safer showing it.

Someone told me TennoLive was bad but I didn't think it was this bad holy fuck LMAO
I miss Rahetalius’ TennoCon bingo cards and my Warframe buddy who vanished a few years ago who I used to watch it with, dunking on everything together. Maybe we should make some bingo cards next year.

You know the SOLE reason they added a romance system is because of their obsession with trendchasing. Everytime they see something popular they attempt to put it in the game, only delayed by like 5 years due to development time, its why we got half assed elited, half assed sekiro, half assed open worlds and a bunch of other half assed content.

You'd think with steve gone they'd finally get a bit more focused but it seems its a systematic problem.

BG is popular now so they decided to add romance, which is gonna be a travesty, because out of the 3 romances they've writen (Sorren and Jade, Loyd and Albrect, Ballas and Natah) the only one that isn't an embarassing trashfire is the one where both members are mutes with no lines.

This Tennocon went all in on Soulframe and of course, Warframe 1999. For Soulframe, I need to see if the gameplay is something I can get into. Though the idea of your character giving themselves schizophrenia by building a village of various dead people in their brain is funny to me.

On the Warframe side of things, Sevagoth Prime looks cool but he isn't really my main frame. So I'll just grind for his parts once he comes out. Ember Deluxe skin is coomer heaven. No regrets in buying her.

As for 1999, it comes close to what I wanted out of Warframe since they implemented the open world shit like Plains of Eidolon, Deimos and Fortuna. An open-world cityscape location Tenno can cruise around in. Though I'm certain this tileset will just be a bunch of corridors but I'll be happy to be wrong in this regard. As for the whole diverse team... its not too bad or too blatant. One of the few things I appreciate the Chinese for is tard wrangling DE. Because the company has followed the typical western trend of video games of fagging everything up. Especially during June. Them getting bought the fuck out by PWE turned out to be a good thing in the long run because Shang is not about to tolerate extreme Tumblrshit in his space sci-fi fantasy killbox game.

As for the part where you get to play as the 1999 protoframes in the Origin System? Hope they got enough voice lines when it comes to interacting with the fights at least. Commenting on shit like the Grineer and the Corpus ought to be fun. Hoping the other frames get their own Protoframe. Still funny to me that the initial group doesn't have Loki. Considering he was one of the first few frames you could play as at the start... and got sidelined by Volt when it turns out that speedy fuck was extremely fun to play as and easy to boot unlike Loki where you need to learn his gimmicks to make him work.

As for the romance system... its gonna be a VN-tier shitshow.

The Infested Boy Band was a huge surprise. I was actually expecting DE to buy the rights for various songs in the 90s that play during 1999 to capture the feeling but this works far better because its an in-house production and they can do things to the fictional band the record companies would disallow. Their theme really captures the songs Backstreet Boys played back in the 90s. I am unironically hoping for DE to make a bunch of fake 90s songs to play on the radio in that infested city later on.

Can't wait for the time when I can gut these Boyband Liches. Also, you can tell they loved working on 1999 because the 90s were their decade growing up. Can't blame em. In comparison to Clownworld of today, the 90s seem like heaven.

The Infested Boy Band was a huge surprise.
Song lyrics:

"Join us, embrace us, don't ever erase us." x5

"We're back again to do this, and we're gonna do it right."

"We're in the town and we can't be beat."

"Now we move quicker, keeping on track, once we hit the scene, there's no turning back."

"We're all in sync, there's no turning back."

"Now that you can see there's no stopping me, the city's on 11. Something big is coming, but its just the beginning."

"We come alive, moving under the neon glow, the signal is strong. We come to life on the floor, this is why we came for."

"Now that you're infested, we're turning up the heat."

I genuinely unironically adore how unsubtly the song is literally the infestation talking about itself, you can even hear technocyte clicking sounds in the background.

Which begs the question. Is this the actual boy band that got infested and puppeteered by the infestion or a copy that they came up with after being exposed to Backstreet Boys On-Lyne?

Either way, its gruesomely awesome. Especially when the fangirls willingly get infested just to be part of the group!

Funny you should say that...
...I wonder if Half-Life 3 exists in Warframe verse? If it does, you can bet any Corpus worth their salt is going to pay top credit for such an artifact. Also, here's to hoping some Half-Life weapons making it in Warframe. Even if its just the mighty crowbar.

Still. Lots of good memories playing the OG Half-Life and having fun Impulse 101 and sv_gravity.

Good skin, a shame I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen the Frost and Mag equivalents because DE went full retard, and they'll never be re-released for platinum because some niggercattle thought $70 (minimum) for two skins was a reasonable pricepoint.
I hate the faggots on the forums so much it's unreal.

I quit this game years ago for the same reasons any sane person does, and I pop in to check this thread and...fucking romance? They added romance? To this game??? Where everyone looks like a lumpy or glossy potato except ninjamom because they had the sense to hide half her face to avoid that??? Jesus, I wish I could quit the game again out of principle for how retarded that is.

Honestly I'm just glad they didn't make volt another black guy with electricity.
I just don't want to main a black.

Basically humans given Warframe powers without becoming heavily infested. Thanks to a time-traveling old man.
Any idea how much shit I'm gonna have to go through to play this if I haven't played Warframe in a while?

Oh, and is the rogue-lite mode any good?

It's kind of useful as a guaranteed way to farm certain frames that are annoying to get otherwise, but the random nature of it means that for the Steel Path variant you need to build every piece of equipment that you could possibly use or only run it when you get something in rotation that you know you can wreck face with. It's alright, but not really good outside of a focus farm once you've earned every warframe you want from it because other than the warframe parts the rewards are pretty poor (there's a few unique arcanes in the steel path version, but ehhh).

Depends. Have you finished New War? Because if you haven't, you have a ton of story missions you need to go through. Otherwise, you just need to do Deimos enough so you wind up at the labs.

Rogue lite is basically DE's take on Dark Souls as you'll only be playing your Warframe at select areas. It does make a nice contrast in terms of gameplay. That said, new materials, new shit to grind and it also gives you options to get Warframes as well as Incarnons AKA devil triggers for your weapons.

Duviri does let you skip the grinds for certain Warframes via the Circuit, though you still have to farm for resources back at the star chart. If you do plan on tackling The Duviri Experience, but get sucky rolls, the Circuit can be used to "reroll" your selection just by doing a single round and extracting.

As for the (non-SP) Circuit reward trees, these also include frames you would normally have to beat The Second Dream at minimum to start farming for, along with an augment. This week's selection includes Nidus, Octavia, and Harrow, and I recommend Harrow since the grind for him is locked behind defection or Kuva spy missions (I'd say Octavia, but you need her mandachord to build her in full and you can only buy additional copies from Simaris after beating her quest).

They made Duviri accessible as soon as you beat Vor's Prize. It was supposed to be an alternative start for players, but it didn't really work out, so DE just made it a quest to complete after beating the tutorial.

It makes the whole thing a bit confusing, but it gives new players access to the Circuit above, on top of Kullervo.
