So, I'm not going completely crazy.

They need to fucking dial this back by, like, a lot.
Thank God this is just for 1999, I don't think I could handle the game being nothing Arson and Parasitic eximus enemies for however many realtime months at a time. Also, why are Jade eximus units even in 1999 at all? I thought the whole point of the Jade Shadows plot was that Parvos was trying to create more of them and we had to stop him from taking more of Jade's motes or whatever. Why does that shit exist several thousand years in the past before she was even born?

It's because they're green and green is like the spring!

I finally farmed Gauss. Not enjoying him so far. The battery mechanic is really gimmicky, and most of his abilities don't really feel very impactful. Akarius' self-stagger radius is insane, and it's too hard to give up Rush to free up exilus for PSF. At least Acceltra feels pretty good (before you run out of ammo in 8 seconds).

Thermal sunder is bad on him imo. Replace it with xata's wisper or roar or something that helps his guns. The battery is weird, but its really there just to ramp up your 4, kinda like the Ember heat gauge. Biggest thing with the battery is it is impossible to charge to 100% right away, it takes 2/3 of the duration of the ability. His 4 when charged is basically Harrow levels of good, but with the benefit of melee attack speed so he can turn into a blender with a shattering impact Vastilok. I like the Akarius as a primer on status immune frames like Voruna. It's not as "good" as the Kompressa, but it's way faster. And the Acceltra was my first real SP viable weapon, so no matter what I'm gonna defend it, even if it feels worse than a lot of guns right now.

Huh, so the KIM conversations just abruptly stop when you've reached the max rank with them. I logged on today and only Quincy had sent something I could barely bother to read. His way of typing disgusts me.
Oh well, at least I have a live-in, semi-infested goth gf now.

His 2 (Kinetic Plating) should make him immune to all forms of stagger and knockback while it's active. Generally you want to keep it up and running at all times since it's also his main defense.

Also, has anyone else noticed a general increase in Eximus units everywhere?

Kinetic plating already makes you immune to stagger and knockdown

1999 has extra eximus units based on the season. Winter was arctic eximus, this one is jade eximus. If it is happening all over the game, it is probably unintentional.
Yeah, I know about the seasonal stuff, but I've just had an extraordinary amount of all types of Eximus everywhere else. Even normal Duviri Solo Story had more Eximus units thanl normal ones during the undercroft segments. Same with normal mode relic missions.

Disagree, IMO spamming Thermal Sunder to turbospeed through missions (especially non-SP fissures) is what makes Gauss worth using over other frames.
Biggest thing with the battery is it is impossible to charge to 100% right away
Howso? If you just spam his 1 or (tap-presses of) 3, you can get to 100% in a few seconds.
Replace it with xata's wisper or roar or something that helps his guns.
I think if you're going to build for a weapons platform Gauss, there are other frames that do raw damage better (Saryn, Rhino, or Dagath as examples) and the subsume to make Gauss's weapons platform capabilities stand out is Energized Munitions.

I think the Akarius and Acceltra are just mid weapons. You sort of need stagger immunity, ammo mutation, and/or Energized Munitions to make them rock. Too many asks over just using any Incarnon weapon.
For Gauss, he's my go-to frame and the way I play him is:
175% efficiency, trying to keep strength at exactly 100%, and then maxing duration and range, with Archon Vitality to double heat stacks from Thermal Sunder. Keep up 2 and 4 at all times, use 1 for keeping battery at 100% and moving fast, spam 3 while alternating between hold and tap casts. It makes him the most effective speedrun nuker for non-SP, and even in SP the Sunder armor strip and Redline fire rate/reload speed buffs are still great.
I switch to Sevagoth though for nuking in SP (Roar subsume + 1/2 augments + enough strength + 1/2 spam = nuking everything around you for 100% HP damage in True damage).

Baro has all of his prismas and a couple other weapons for sale right now.
The choice subsume of Titania mains who like speedrunning exterminate fissures and thus fuck it up for everybody.
I put it on my Titania when I first got her prime and didn't like it because it took to much energy for no real payoff. That's probably why I've never liked thermal sunder, I just didn't have the energy tools I have now, so I couldn't spam the spam ability.

Jesus Christ, the amount of people I see in Circuit running Protea Prime without overshields is going to give me a fucking aneurysm. DE really should just make the Shield Satellites her default and the shrapnel to hold. Even worse is the amounts of fucking Wisps I see that can't even put down a single mote. Bad enough I had to wait nearly 2 minutes for you to pick your shitty loadout, now you expect to be a fucking parasite? Fuck off.

Finally got a Magnetic Glax sister after several runs. 27% sure, but after several dud attempts (and one where the candidate ended up near extraction so I couldn't see what weapon she had), it's better than nothing.

If I have to play any remotely challenging content and I have to do it in a pub, I just take Dante nowadays. He's probably the best Tard-wrangler frame in the game but the other day I failed an EDA run because I had a retard playing Harrow who kept going down somehow and I kept having to revive him. Shieldgating/Overshields is such an easy way to survive, especially on frames like Harrow where you only need to press one button to not die, but somehow the average IQ of pubs is too below room temperature to use it effectively.
