With Tennocon 2025 more or less done, I can summarize what to expect over the second half of 2025:
  • We're getting Valkyr Heirloom at the start of the week.
  • Caliban Prime is our next Prime, along with Venato Prime and the first-in-a-long-while unique Vadarya Prime sniper rifle. As for how the Sentient 'frame got Primed, that's for the next spoiler to explain. This also means Grendel Prime, Masseter Prime, and Zylok Prime are next to be vaulted, so if you want to skip the Arbiter missions for the vanilla meatball, you'd best do it now.
  • The latest Conquera reward will be a Zephyr Deluxe skin based on some concept art by the late Michael "Mynki" Brennan. This won't be his final contribution to the game however.
  • An as-yet-untitled Fall update with the following:
    • Oberon finally gets his rework.
    • A new beginner's quest after Vor's Prize to both explain modding and properly introduce Teshin.
    • Our 62nd Warframe (who I think wasn't explained in depth beyond they're the one next in line).
    • Lavos Deluxe.
  • This is big update towards the end of the year. The Old Peace is a quest detailing the tenuous period before the outbreak of the Old War (from the looks of it, the timeline is Zariman Incident -> We reach Tau somehow -> Old Peace -> Old War. This in turn builds up to our travels to the Tau system itself in 2026.
  • Wall-running returns! And this time without the Stamina system that plagued movement early in the game's lifespan!
  • Operator face remasters, along with Focus ultimates.
  • Our 63rd Warframe, Uriel, a devil-themed Warframe based on Mynki's sketches, and will be the latter's final posthumous contribution to the game.
  • Harrow and Wisp Protoframes (Father Lyon Allard, who for some reason exposes his abs, and Sister Marie Leroux respectively), along with a surprise protoframe (probably Uriel, or someone else).

And that's all to expect. Remember to visit the Tennocon 2025 to look at the giant Sentient mecha and get the hidden Orokin-era Grineer noggle on the second floor.

Pardon the autism rant but how the fuck do we have memories Tau. Was it not stated multiple times in lore that the Orikin never reached tau and that warframes were designed to combat the Sentient during old war. Externalism be damned because if that’s used as the reason as to explain tau memories than at that point use externalism to make all problems disappear

It's probably gonna be some bs about the lotus and operator trying to view the "branching path" because there's something there that can help them deal with the man in the wall. I'm guessing the threat is going to be something like the anti-orokins have woken up the ai robots and that's why the warframes have been made and they have a treaty with the sentients.

One point towards The Old Peace being possible is this line from Alad during The Second Dream:
Yes yes hurry Tenno but be careful, last time you got close with the Sentients you wiped out an entire civilization... but you don't remember that, do you?"
Lotus also being intentionally vague about our involvement in the Old War (what with her starting off as a mole-turned-defector-turned-brainwashed copy of Margulis) also casts doubt about what we think happened, the most we know about the Sentients' reasons for fighting is from Hunhow.

There's also the unknown timescale even without Eternalism fucking the flow of time (since we don't know how long it has been between Hollvania going nuclear and the Orokin establishing themselves, let alone the end of the Old War and the game's present day).

I’m just confused because it’s said that the Orikin never reached tau.

They probably did, but it's possible shit went south before the Orokin could really claim Tau (i.e. Hunhow realizing that they'd trash the place like they did the Origin System).

My theory? It has something to do with Praghasa being braindead. If the Orokin had a hand in her current state, that'd piss off the Sentients (especially Hunhow) something fierce.

I haven't played since April. Is there enough content to hop back in?

Because you missed the events for the new stuff I'd say sorta. New frame/weapons is in a Duviri standalone mission where you can actually use a warframe the entire time and actually gives you a fair amount of clamps for time spent (unless they changed it), but it's the classic exclusive currency. Two new grineer melees drop from ghouls and I've heard they're pretty neato. Other than that you're grinding archimedean/relics every week.

Rip maybe I'll give it a year to get some more stuff to catch up on.

Don't know if this is the right place since there's no dedicated thread for it, but I guess anyone who signed up for Soulframe got access to it. I signed up to test the game damn near months ago and finally got access to it.

Hit me with the clocks if you must, I think I last played this game in 2018, it was really quite fun and I enjoyed it a lot up until the big reveal where they tell you that you're essentially some prepubescent child soldier. That shit was so retarded it singlehandedly made me quit, but I got the itch to play again now that I've seen some footage of their new game.

Is playing as a child with a gun an integral part of the game still and they doubled down on the concept or did they just let go of it and it's a gimmick for those one or two quests only? Playing as shooty-shooty space robots is cool, faggy children with piercings aren't.

Edit: Nevermind, I was lazy but it's on me, reading the thread explains the thread. Apparently it's complete tranny slop, so I quit while ahead. The guy who negrated my true and honest non-hostile question probably enjoys playing dress-up with the 13 years old children avatars.

It's not fully necessary honestly apart from one or two things honestly (mainly Zariman missions due to it's mobs). Playing dress-up was the only good thing, but making my female avatar not look like a troon was a challenge which unironically would have been a hard challenge if not for the Dex outfit (god that shit looked beautiful in cutscenes, made me almost forgive the game for not giving me the ability to skip them for a second).

The story is legitimately garbage & when I actually learned about it's shit later, I was unsurprisingly not feeling bad about skipping all cutscenes when grinding the story till Isleweaver. Seriously gay scientist & zoomers in 1999 is enough to put off a normal man.

Story is gay and cringe, but I enjoy chucking an angry cat (Valkyr's 'Hysterical Assault' augment) at enemies and tearing them apart for almost damage-cap numbers. They did pretty well on her rework, but I still think frames need one dedicated augment mod slot because so many of them are either must-haves or just big QoL features.

She's fun as hell even with the most basic bitch build possible done out of nothing but lack of resources.

Her 1st ability makes me wanna play a Just Cause game, I honestly love her for that alone (that, & she's my first Prime).

As for that dedicated augment mod slot, I honestly sometimes feel like Equilibrium should be a basic game mechanic instead of a mod sometimes. Would free up a lot of space early-game.

I roll with this build. With an Arcane Battery you can skip flow entirely.

I've been working on my Valk since the rework and I've had a lot of fun with swift momentum and archon vitality (with viral/heat heavy attack talons). Also I subbed her one for terrify and it seems to work out pretty ok as long as you hit paralysis first.

Valkyr Rework is really really good IMO. Before she was kind of a left over frame from bygone days and her only real use was her 4. Now there's actual met and substance to her kit while still keeping some of her invulnerability from her 4 in the form of her always active passive. I would like to believe the next frame to get a rework would be nekros because I feel he's due for one since he's from the same era as valkyr.

I'd rather see a Limbo visual update first. The cell shading visual filter just isn't obvious enough with the lighting changes and the cue on the feet is useless if you have a headshot weapon. I don't want anything else changed (other than maybe his four, but that's because I'm weird and only use it in a negative range build.) Necros doesn't feel great, but he has a lot of help with how good melees have been in my opinion.

>Grind MR on Syndicate weapons (Rakta Cernos & Ballistica from Red Veil).
>Try to trade them.
>Apparently, Syndicate weapons need to be unranked to trade.
>Look like a newfag (technically true, I'm playing this game since January) in front of the trade.

I sometimes just really wanna shove a personal Killdozer through the Digital Extreme studio building (in Minecraft ofc). I get that I should've done my research, but they don't tell you this early on & it's just generally retarded despite of it.

What annoys me more is that I can't even gift it. I'd rather give it away for free than sell for a measly 7.5K credits, that's a fucking waste of a "rare" & somewhat good (by the standards of syndicate weapons) weapon. Hell, I would have gifted it just for fruitlessly wasting the dude's time due to what, at it's core, is my utter dimwittery.
