I fucking hate leveling up Fortuna so much bros. Having to rely on that tranny faggot whatever the fuck robot to have the exact debt-bonds I need at reasonable fucking resource prices is goddamn tiring.

Vox Fortuna is another pain in the ass to level up, but at least I can reliably max out my standing with Narmer Isoplast drops, Toroid farming is another hell entirely that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. AN HOUR AND A HALF OF SMASHING MY HEAD INTO CAVE WALLS FOR THIS SHIT.

Speaking of loathing the leveling system. I just unlocked Steel Path Duviri Circuit & found out that SPDC doesn't level up the normal DC alongside it.

Does Digital Extremes & Rebecca realize that no one really likes doing Duviri missions more than they need to? At least streamline the process.

Also, as said here:

The token trade standing system is retarded in general. Be it Ostron on Cetus, Solaris United on Fortuna, or the Holdfasts on Zariman (probably the worst of them all in my book). They should be reworked to be more, for the lack of a better term, time-agnostic.

Seriously, the fact that base Gauss, who has possibly one of the best Helminth abilities, requires you to grind both Earth & Venus, on top of grinding the the frame itself through Interception RNG to the point where the Prime version is easier to grind than the base version... is truly an experience.

Even the Entrati on Mars can be annoying at times, but is still honestly not the worst considering you'd mostly have more Mother Tokens than you can trade for standing a lot of the time if you do SP bounties.

Cavia & The Hex are the best honestly. You're not bound to anything, you can just do bounties peacefully &/or trade shit for standing too.

I don't think they considered that anyone who had unlocked the SP would still need anything from the regular Circuit.
It's mostly MR & Helminth fodder (also I need the Ash Systems for the Smoking Body Ephemera), but even then it should just be leveling up alongside on principle of it being the same thing, but more difficult.

In the latest devstream the devs revealed they are afraid of duet night abyss overtaking them, which is... intresting.

On one hand having a competitor squeeze their balls is a good thing, because it means they're gonna stop spamming faggots and trannies everywhere and have to actually appeal to the audience and start fixing the fucking game.

On the other her hand, the fact that their main competitor is another genshit impact esque gachaslop pedobait game for child molesters to beat off to is disheartening for the state of the industry as a whole.

While I hate weebshit, I'll buy it just to help defeat DE.

I noticed that too, though maybe they were referring to something else as well, like Where Winds Meet. Although it's probably DNA. What they're doing isn't going to make any difference IMO, making newest content available before meeting requirements of being up to date on content is just going to confuse people that try it. I'm not sure how being able to play latest grind treadmill is better than doing literally anything else in the game for newer players who haven't caught up.
What they should do is cut down on faggotry and gay DnD vibes for their character design.

But it's free?

Duet Night Abyss is what you get when you decide to pivot the mechanics of your generic gacha game and just copy-paste Warframe right on top of it, followed by dumbing it down because anime fans find thinking hard. FFS, the first character I unlocked by choice is literally Mesa followed by a Titania rework.

If opening relics is your favorite part of Warframe then DNA will likely appeal to you more. It's very similar to Warframe though outside of the anime crowds I don't think it's a competitor to Warframe...yet.

They need to bite the bullet and actually put money, manpower and time into fixing the new player experience instead of adding bandaids nonstop. Reduce the crafting delays for early game content to 1 hour or less, and make an actual early game campaign leading upto the second dream. A shitload of story is STILL locked behind removed events.

Veterans like lategame content because they're invested into the game. Slingshoting new players into it won't accomplish anything because they don't give a fuck to begin with.

Literally nobody who found warframe's plot too confusing and barely understands how modding work is gonna give two fucks about being allowed to play descendia at MR10 and its baffling that DE seems to think so.

Well, they now straight up give some weapons equipped with catalyst and their own weapon slot as you progress through junction, and a bunch of other neat freebies (like catalysts, reactors and slots - things that shouldn't even exist in the game at this point IMO). Crafting for most items required to progress through quests were also accelerated.
I saw someone else play through it recently and it seems much better nowadays.

The game would greatly benefit from a proper campaign, rather than having disjointed quests.

Thoughts on the Old Peace Update.

I liked a lot of the ideas of the story, but the pacing was off. Once again, they do that annoying thing where the quest starts about 15% of the way in the story, leaving you completely context-less right off the bat. You can piece together what is going on as you continue, but I don't understand why they can't have a 2 minute long intro to get us going. Anyway, the rest of the story has cool scenes and ideas, but I wish it was slower because its hard to get invested in the new (old?) characters and conflict. I liked what they had of Adis, but the quest is so compressed that I wasn't affected beyond 'dang, I liked that guy' when he died. Although, its is a plot point that sentients can be revived from death, so I'm sure he's coming back in some form next year. It was cool seeing the other Zariman missions before the 10-0, I hope we get a tileset based on them at some point.

My favorite part of the story was when the player more or less tells someone 'You are alright. Don't come to schoool today.' That sounds like a meme, but that is actually something that happens, just worded differently. I wonder if it was intentional

The Descendia game mode is pretty cool. 21 quick missions in a row, have to complete 7 or so in a row to unlock a checkpoint if you want the ability to come back later to continue where you left off. There's no load screen in between the missions. Back in Jade Shadows they mentioned finally fixing the tech that allowed vertical levels, which they applied here. You just finish the mission, then drop down the hole into the next one. The main thing you get from this mode are the Uriel parts , which you get the resources for by grinding the other game mode (they are dirt cheap to craft btw), and the new warframe/weapon arcanes.

The other game mode is The Perita Rebellion, and its my favorite mode in a long time. You drop onto the battlefield in Tau (its a memory of the past, we haven't actually gone back over there yet), and you have 12 mintues to complete as many objectives as you can. Each objective gives you a buff for the rest of the mission and bonus rewards at the end. At long last, another game mode that actually requires active gameplay. I could cry. After 12 minutes, depending on which of the 3 variants of the Perita Rebellion you queued for, you fight a specific boss. Nothing has any damage attenuation, so odds are someone in your squad brought a min-maxed sweat loadout and just one shots it. The presentation of this mode is pretty great, it puts the War in warframe. Trenches, so many enemies it will drop your fps, the music. Anyway, the rewards are the parts to craft the new operator ulti weapons, and the mods and arcanes that go on to them.

The focus expansion is kind of hit or miss. Each of the new operator ulti weapons (Tektolyst Artifacts) has to be unlocked, its the new thing to grind for. That's cool, but you only earn half of the resources needed to unlock one by completing the quest, which is lame. It means you will be grinding to unlock your first Tektolyst weapon, and you can't use any of the new arcanes or mods you are getting. Once you do unlock it though, the weapons are....fine? Unlocking a Tektolyst weapon does 2 things. Adds several new nodes to the focus tree of that school, and also adds that weapon to your operator's arsenal while you have that tree equipped. The weapons are tied to the focus school, so if you want to use a specific unlocked Tektolyst weapon, you have to make sure you activate the corresponding tree. In the arsenal, you can upgrade the Tektolyst with the new mods and arcanes, and in the focus tree you can then use your stockpiled focus points (and new resources from the 3 different Perita Rebellion boss fights) to unlock the new focus nodes. The new focus nodes will give the Tektolyst weapon new/stronger effects. I can't really comment on their efficacy, because they take fucking forever to charge. Even with a rank 4 Tektolyst arcane that gives me like 35% initial charge (they start at 0% charge otherwise), you probably won't even charge it up in quick missions. It supposedly charges up a small amount per kill in affinity range, but if it does its almost nothing. Collecting convergence orbs (the yellow focus balls) does give a noticeable increase. Having a Tektolyst equipped causes convergence orbs to appear even without a lens equipped, but you will want to start putting focus lenses on your gear if you want to use your Tektolyst more because lenses cause it charge even faster. Some of the new abilities tied to them sound interesting, like reviving dead players. (I'm assuming downed as well, but the description of the node says dead). The real star of the show for me was the mods and arcanes. Now we have mods that do things like give your Amps multishot, big increases to operator health or armor, amp ammo efficiency, operator jump height, void sling energy efficiency, etc. I use my operator all the time for mobility, so these mods were amazing for me.

Overall I liked this update a lot. The 2 new gamemodes, the main content you'll be doing for this update, were both really good, which is the main thing that needed to land. The story was fine, but far too quick for its own good. The new Tektolyst weapons have 2 parts: the focus tree expansion and the mods/arcanes you equip on them. The focus tree part is hard to tell right now, potentially not quite worth the work to get them, but the mods and arcanes are so good that I'm ready to grind out the remaining Tektolysts.

fyi the firerate/efficiency operator mod stacks with eternal logistics giving your amp 100% ammo efficiency, also known as "unlimited ammo with no reload" for the low low price of using a dash once every 8 seconds.

One thing I really like about the Perita tileset in combination with the time limit is that it allows different strategies to be useful that normally would be memes tier or just not as effective. I'm enjoying grendel with the catapult augement because the time limit and huge amount of ground to cover actually makes it useful compared to normal tilesets like the void, or open worlds where you can just warp/archwing to the point. Its also fun flying around with jade over a real battlefield instead of a a corridor. I'm sure we will get more hallway tilesets in the future, but I'll be pretty happy if we can get a few more like this one here and there.

The one thing that sucks about the Focus expansion is that A) You need a lot of kills to fill up the Tauron bar and B) You can only speed up the charge rate with matching lenses, so you're fucked in Archimedea (i.e. the mission types where Vazarin's insta-revive while active would actually be useful).

The entire lens system needs a rework. I shouldn't have to manage dozens of lenses, if you're an experienced player who swaps weapons and warframes constantly to keep things fresh, it becomes a huge pain in the ass. I never used them outside of a few specific loadouts for farming before Eidolon farm allowed a more convenient way to get Focus, so it's been literal years since I even installed a one. But I still remember having the very same thoughts then.

It should be a lens loadout on your build just below weapons somewhere, where you can pick 1 lens per equipment slot which will remain regardless of the weapon or warframe you choose. Instead of keeping a whole load of extra lenses, it would just be 1 of each school per equipment slot - warframe, primary, secondary and melee respectively.
Change lens progression to one where extra lenses have to be either converted into a resource or directly fused into your main one to increase its efficiency, so that they still have a purpose.
Current system is clunky as fuck, but it's no wonder because Scott designed it.

You could say the lens system requires more... Focus.

Tried a solo exterminate with a lens on every piece of gear in my arsenal (except the amp, forgot that). With the maxed tektolyst arcane that gives initial charge, I was able to cast it almost 3 times in 5 minutes. It seems like the bonus tauron strike charge stacks with each lens, and I'm also not convinced they need to match the tree you have equipped, because each orb was giving a huge amount of charge. I wonder if the convergence orb spawn rate is different/glitched in multiplayer, because I saw 3 or 4 in that five minute solo mission. Also, the lens tier shouldn't matter for the charge bonus, so the best strategy if you want to charge it and don't care about distributing your daily focus is to just throw whatever lenses you have on whatever you are using at the time until you lens up your whole arsenal. Faster to just farm the focus from tricaps anyway, because 45 mintues of tricaps is worth days of daily focus, and you can convert the shards to focus even when you are out of daily standing.
