You underestimate the level of gorilla niggers that play warframe. Excepting randoms to stand in line for 30 seconds without being explicitly forced to is beyond the level of the average warframe player.
Literally the only difference between matchmaking and what we have now is typing "inv". That said, being expected to stand around in a circle and wait for the game to fill a meter is what's know as... let me see here... bad game design. I remember when Payday 3 got lambasted for having that shit in missions.
I'm one of the retards. I like to blame DE for always finding a way to complicate the simplest things or just making shit unintuitive in every way possible, but at this point I have to be at fault too so I guess I'm a retard as well.
Every time I try a new thing after a long break, or a reworked bossfight, I have no idea wtf is happening. If the mission is failing or something's not working, I dont know why, and if it is working and the mission is progressing, I still don't know why. I don't want to hurt others' gaming experience so I usually just find a video that shows me how to solo shit. Then I do that (always with the wiki open of course) and burn out very quickly.
It's been probably 2 years I last played it, and every time I come back, it gets more annoying, like I'm at my personal WF capacity and it just can't be helped anymore. I have probably 2k hours in it though. I'm one of those who remembers Second Dream fondly, even with all the shit that came with it.
Part of the issue is DE has no idea how to explain mechanics to players in game or they reuse mechanics that players have interacted with but "wrong". Case in point, the cache side objective. You'd think it would be like the cache in 1999 missions where you deposit the keys. No, of course not, you hold the key while standing around.
They also don't understand that players have been trained to understand that standing around generally means death. Between Jade, Surge, Arson, and Blitz Eximus, your average player knows that not moving can be a bad idea. Oh, and the game will avoid giving you rewards if you stand around doing nothing for long enough.
In just one run for the new Icebind mode, I've managed to get 5 Forma within my end-of-mission rewards. This shit's somehow more lucrative than Plague Star could ever have hoped to be.
What a rough year so far. Follie was a bad update, but its fine. They tried something new, it didnt pan out, oh well. Jade shadows 2, quest starts in media res but never explains how it started, just like all recent quests. The quest turns out to be simultaneously stuffed with too many plot threads AND too short to delve into any of it. End result is a totally mangled story that wastes a lot of interesting ideas that we probably wont get to revisit in the inevitable 3rd jade shadows, since those ideas have already been explored. Also they nuked the 3rd orb for good measure, because fuck you. The missions are fine I guess, but nothing fucking works for the first month. On launch, you couldnt even extract from the missions properly, thats how bad it was. 2 stinkers in a row, a bad run we havent seen in a while. Narin update ships without the new game mode, which means we have a main update with nothing new to play. What the absolute FUCK is going on over there? They should have just cancelled this whole year of updates and moved tau to halloween, with nothing inbetween that and old peace. Thats a long stretch with nothing, but its all sucked anyway so who cares. I wonder what happens if tau flops too.
Constellations felt like a poor excuse to lobotomize Hunhow and write him out of upcoming story, which just happens to deal with Tau system that he came from. I wonder if that's a coincidence...
Follie is a funny one. I don't know anyone who plays her, and the only person defending her design in my clan didn't even bother getting her. I can't wait for the next anniversary to see that "body positive" fetish product at the bottom of warframe usage chart, which is bound to happen.
Brozime is one of those guys that I genuinely can't fathom how he has an audience. He is such an annoying whiny faggot. Every video I've watched of his is just endless whining about how anything that is not a top meta pick, is just useless garbage. Pupsker makes absolute slop videos but I would still watch him over that seething tub of lard.
Funnily enough, I used to dislike him for being a meta slave. Eventually I ended up watching some of Brozime's vids, and they're actually pretty balanced and informative.
Hardest part about Icebind is getting people to understand that "no obj" means "no objectives". Had at least two people bug out when it become clear that we we're doing the side objectives like the host fucking said in recruit.
And for those about to ask: no, I don't think the added loot it worth the hassle.
She's a powerful Warframe that can oneshot pretty much anything through armor and is incredibly hard to kill. The problem, though, is that she's a pain in the ass to farm as her game mode isn't that fun to grind out.
I don't think he was ever a "meta slave". He's been "the Gloom guy" because Gloom was a good option that solved a lot of problems. Now he's come "the Jade Star guy".

Your first mistake was trying to do this with randos off recruiting chat instead of getting friends together whom you can trust to do it with you. The objectives are piss-easy after the first time or so, and they're now probably among the easiest sources of Forma, shards and even boosters in the game. You're doing yourself a disservice skipping out on them.
EDIT: This isn't to justify DE's approach to handling this, of course. It would help far more if they did their part in explaining shit more coherently to mitigate the problem of there being that many retards out in the wild.

Ammo Efficiency changes are already up on the chopping block because DE didn't think people would combine the Ammo Efficiency Arcane with Ammo Efficiency Rivens to get Ammo Efficient guns. Guess my Ocucor Riven can go fuck itself; looking forward to getting the Kuva and Splicer I spent on it back, DE.

This year has been a shitter, WTF are you doing DE? I surely hope Tau isn't a shitshow, but I'm not holding my breath. It seems due to Rebb's health issue, she probably couldn't help iron some of these updates out.
It's utterly insane to me that no one at DE remembered that Primary Crux exists or that Arcane Pistoleer is a thing. Fuck, the first sentence of the first reply to the Workshop was about Ammo Efficency.
Of course, you have retards complaining it's about performance despite the fact that Cyte-09 exists and everything they had to say about 100% AE on rivens already applies to Cyte-09.
