Totally called the price of the pox walkers box.

Limited edition novels were still in stock at the time of getting my codex so get in fast if you want them Kiwis.

How many do you get? For 20 pounds? That is a not terrible price if its 2 pounds a model.

Ten in the box. I’m struggling to remember how many you would get in the previous easy build box I think it was something like 6 for £10.

I had some old laser cut bases lying around so I decided pop my new Necron fortifications on them for a more pleasant look.

I’m cutting up some sprue to make crystals to decorate the base then the rest will just be sand and a few tufts around the base.

I scored a copy of the Alpharius novel. Must have hit refresh on the page at exactly the right moment.
Congrats.
I wish GW would be more clear as to when they'd have the books on the site.
I had been waiting since midnight for the site to update for it and now I missed my chance.
I'll just wait for the hardcover.

Got that juicy Death Guard codex lookin good being a stinky boy in 9th edition. Now all I gotta do is finish up my marines and when the coof is over I will be playing with fully painted armies finally.

Sorry, fam. I've run into the same issue with their pre-orders in the past, so I was literally just sitting with my laptop open hitting refresh every few minutes. I have to admit I was a little surprised by how quickly this one went, though. I remember some of the other limited edition primarch novels stuck around forever, like Ferrus and Vulkan and Angron.

People are already getting salty that morty is too strong. God forbid a centerpiece be playable. Though I do think his contagion to slash movement speed is a little too strong. Though I think pretty much the whole army not having opsec is pretty big weakness.

Yeah that’ll be a big problem for them going forward.

So I’ve partially watched two bat reports specifically when they were talking about the lists which completely contradict each other. One was by tabletop titans and the death guard player said you can only take one of any special weapons options including close combat weapons for plague marines.
However mini wargaming said in their list run down you can take one special option for every five plague marine. Can anybody verify this yet? Here are the videos I watched.
The lists are at the beginning of each video.

Tabletop Titans
Mini Wargaming

However the new book has probably given away a lot of how the other chaos books will work. Like the single Lord of Plague per detachment will definitely be turned into a lord of X for tzeentch and regular chaos dex.

What I heard is that you can take 2 for every SQUAD of plague marines. Meaning what they give you in a box is what you need to properly kit them.

So any hot takes on the the next preview? The DEAD and the DIVINE?

Not so. GW has been doing some limiting options for all armies HQ choices, probably to prevent shenanigans with multiple versions of the same characters. Space Marines can only have one captain and two lieutenants per detachment, the highest ranking Necron Overlord must be your warlord. For Thousand Sons, they only have three types of characters (daemon prince, terminator sorcerer lord, exalted sorcerers) so the only limit I could see is on daemon princes. CSM, probably single Master of X model.

One other thing to note about the Death Guard rules is that they no longer have hateful assault. Probably all god-aligned chaos legions are going to lose it as well, but come on GW, don't nerf my Chaos Marines again!

You can't really say losing hateful assault is a nerf when most of the DG just hit more now flat out. Id imagine either the standard csm range would just get buffed up like that the same way.

I mostly collect and paint models; the few times I've been in my local Games Workshop pre-COVID and saw the games being played, I couldn't imagine a less-fun way of spending an afternoon. That being said, I've been building a small army of Praetorians the past couple of months by using Anvil Industries pith helmet heads and IG bodies.

My wife got a set of Intercessors and a Dreadnought and is now painting them up to be Imperial Fists. I've been painting miniatures since I was a kid - starting out with WWII tanks. It is shockingly depressing seeing my wife's Fists look better than anything I've ever painted on her first try.

We've decided on using the One Page Rules system for now. Neither of us have much patience to buy Codexes. We are adapting them for the amount of models she has and to make it more fun for us.

I've also ordered these guys to paint up some Vostroyans.

Oh shit did I miss alpharius the novel?
After being late to the party by a few hours on the uplifting primer release I just scored my copy months later. I hope The Infinite & the Divine becomes available on something that gives me ink stains rather than more eye damage.
I'm looking for more deathwatch content but ive already consoomed the omnibus, is there anything left?

Look up the 40kgeneral on 4chan’s /tg/. They set up a volafile that routinely posts the codexes and rulebook.
