It keeps getting updates and it's lasted longer than the honeymoon period and following content drain. It'll probably be around for a while.

Is there a reason the new episode isn't up on YouTube? I know they've been pushing the Spotify thing hard for some reason.
 
I didn't know there was a Meat thread, mostly because I didn't care enough to look. I'd be fine MeatPosting there because sometimes I'll watch one of his vids and wanna rant about it, but don't wanna shit up the GoonCave more than usual. But it also would make sense to just merge or keep posting here considering Wendi's upload schedule is like Jontron Lite sometimes, and Meat is 50% of CC which has been the majority topic since it started.

It's funny. It's kind of a highlight reel of all the really shitty stories they've covered so far, compacted into one single story:
  • I'm a Cop and I keep getting called to the same house: Horribly incompetent police force that only make things worse, and serious infodumping explaining everything at the end
  • Deepwoods: Super mega powerful rich guy that's the main antagonist that is also absurdly psychopathic, and in this case probably mega autistic (though the author forgets all about this and just makes him a crime lord that still lives with his mom for some reason)
  • My Job is Watching a Woman Trapped in a Room: Retarted protagonist that almost comes off as kinda normal but there's absolutely no way a well-adjusted person would end up doing anything he does (the little bit at the end of the penultimate plot is unironically something Chris would write)
  • The Thing in the Basement: Story that starts out one way and partway through completely tone shifts to something else that's probably a rip-off of whatever media franchise the author likes. I imagine this is how that story would have been like had they kept on and read the other parts
  • Jeff the Killer: Over-the-top, anime-esque story that's simultaneously taking itself way too seriously
Story itself was hell. I can see why Hunter crashed out immediately. Isaiah was right to laugh at it. e; with all the sperging about anonymity and staying safe online you'd almost think it was Null writing that shit.

Amazingly bad story. To start out with "I’m posting this story in case… Well in case he finds me and kills me soon." and waste so much time prattling on about minor details alongside ending the first chapter with "Guys, identity theft is a serious crime and is very damaging to everyone in the economy. And while the theft had been bad, my life was about to get a whole lot worse. That’s all I have time to write for now. I have to go and get some serious shit taken care of. I'll write again as soon as I can." completely skullfucks any semblance of believability/immersion. Great episode thoughever, return of the "goat brain" from Feed the Pig alongside prolapse talk ( "Red Cabbage" is an inspired description, lol) is choice Meat content.

I changed my mind, it became cringekino when it entered comic book villain territory.

I had just gotten to part 4 when I got home for the evening and I was having a blast with the anime villain dialog. Wendi's mind melting as he looked at the IMDB page at the beginning was a great way to frontload an otherwise slow start. Definitely looking forward to finishing it up at work tomorrow

I checked the subreddit to see if there was any news on why the episode was so delayed on youtube and I had a good feeling when I saw this meme. It's definitely living up to it as far as I've gotten

It started off like it would be bad but silly in a fun way story, but the entire middle just a slog. The "Redditors assemble!" moment towards the end is pulling me back in though.

Wendigoon appears to be looking for researchers and writers for his videos. Since he seems to be doing more podcast stuff I can see why he wants some extra hands.

I tried to finish the story. I had to give up the 10th time Wendi was glazing it with "This is so good. Don't you get the irony of the whole thing. It's an Identiy theft ARG???" No Wendi, I dont' care. This story is actual torture. I don't always agree with Meat, but damn man his suffering was just my own suffering listening to this shit story.
