Cujo is a great film though, don't remember the book enough.
A lot of elements of the Cujo book make very little sense if you haven't done the required reading of The Shining to understand what the Shine is and why the boy is apparently psychic, The Dead Zone and Castle Rock to know who the hell Frank Dodd is and why he's so important to the story. It's seemingly implied that he's possessing the dog and making him kill people, but also the dog is just rabid and acting like a rabid animal. There's presumably further reading required to understand the supernatural things that occur that also go unexplained in the book itself.

I haven't read a lot of King's work but I've read enough to be convinced that he's massively overrated.

Also the kid dies in the hot car at the end and there's no happy ending, which was changed for the movie for obvious reasons

I'll admit I'm only FIVE FUCKING HOURS in to this ELEVEN FUCKING HOUR video, but Mother Horse Eyes has me by my beard. I accidentally forgot to go to lunch I'm so engrossed in hearing what's next.

There have been maybe one or two stories so far that just kinda threw me out of it, I think it was the advertisements for products in the future timeline which don't make sense to be something just outright stated by the hivemind.

Other than that, great episode so far.

This made me chuckle.
I hope these RETARDS don't shit all over my thing. Hopefully they like it tho.

This story really does have a bunch of everything and does most if not all of it really well. Haven't quite gotten through it but so far the only thing I'm not crazy about is the meta narrative regarding the author, though that might very well pay off. Meat reading this in his radio voice was a particular highlight for me, as was the body horror of the biblically accurate demon/angel nephilim breeding scene. Hoping there's a followup to what happened to the woman in reality

When I finish getting through it tomorrow I feel like I'm going to just immediately listen to it again

So this hasn't been posted. And I'm making my way through it right now. It is a gauntlet. Four fucking hours.
So far, it's pretty good though I hve never heard of this game at all, but it seems fun if not highly stressful. jesus.

Jeez, some of these levels will keep me up at night.
I didn't know that SWAT 5 was secretly Trepang2 (Great game, but very different gameplay wise, check it out). Wild. I was getting some weird audio issues midway through this one, anyone else?

just got through the mother horse eyes episode. wow. easily the best thing they've ever read on this channel. usually i put these on to listen in the background but i found myself stopping whatever else i was doing just to listen to it. i don't see anything topping this one unless they stop focusing on nosleep slop and start covering real literature.

I did too. There's several audio glitches and he even acknowledged one of them. Arguably the worst one.

And yes, the game did keep me awake for the night. Something about the real tragedy that lays in this and the common people being caught in the middle of it plus the CIA being assholes again even if it's through a fictional world.

I forgot to mention it before, but I don't think Wendigoon properly understood the copaganda complaint. The issue with that isn't just whether it comes off as annoying or preachy, people against what they see as copaganda do just genuinely not want that kind of messaging pushed and don't want that kind of influence to spread. To only depict obviously morally righteous cases would be to whitewash SWAT by omitting the far more common, murky, and mundane reality of home raids and barricades. Even the FBI HRT which really would be getting assigned to these higher octane jobs a lot more often than usual has Ruby Ridge and Waco under their belt.

I don't agree with the sentiment that the game is a form of copaganda, but Wendigoon did a bad job of expressing what the issue is in the first place and didn't really rebut it beyond saying he didn't think it was annoying.

Ready or Not seems well done but not really my type of game.

Calling it now: between his desperation with being seen as a Good Christian (while adhering to almost none of the lifestyle) and his obsession with "THICC BIG DOMMIE GOTH MOMMIES" or whatever-the-fuck, this man is so deep in the closet he's finding next year's Christmas presents. I give it 5 years max before it all comes out.

I mean, COME ON...

Or, and hear me out on this. Maybe he's just a massive dork.

Can you really argue those against the SWAT teams? It's a tough job that takes place hundreds of time a week in the USA, that you'll only hear about when someone fucks up. Even soldiers would rather blow a building then get inside it. I don't doubt there will be people doing shady shit, but they'll be in the minority.
