Most of the time it isn't. And the less said about Meat's jokes when he's bored, the better.

The point is, Creepcast is at its best when they're both SUFFERING:melchett:
or riffing on a shit story, but they can't do that usually it's too hecking mean

Well personally I’ve never liked meats flavor of humor, my dumbass opinion is they are making the mistake of everyone who makes it big and playing to the audience versus making content they think is good
 
Meat’s riffing on Mr. Widemouth is still one of the funniest things I’ve seen in like the last decade of YouTube, he can be absolutely insufferable for video after video but every once in a while he pulls out a bit that justifies the podcast.

I can't imagine sitting through this show if you completely dislike 50% of it's contributers.
The issue is they've never cared about quality. This was a lazy side project for them to do for extra cash that blew up into, clearly, their bread winner at this point. They started raking in the money doing exactly what they're doing now, and there's literally zero reason to change anything.

I think, in my personal experience, that creative works driven solely by spite are usually not very high quality, as unfortunate as it may be.

Spiteful mutants aren't Dante and that's a major difference. Also some characters being people who he didn't like dosen't change that it was still a reflection on redemption and God.

He mentions this one was written by one of the lead writing "women" from his slop channel and boy does it show.

Decided to rewatch 1-7 before this and the shift is noticeable immediately. Clicked off after about 5 minutes. I don't watch the slop channel for a reason, I don't want to see that shit on the main.

I was just pointing out that the Divine Comedy was written by someone in exile, presumably seething, and there's plenty of spite dripping from it, as a counter-example to the "works driven solely by spite are usually not very high quality".

Low-key think this was a test run to letting his "team" handle the main channel officially.

Which is a mistake IMHO. As a presenter he doesn't hold a candle to the old MostAmazingtop10 presenters and they weren't the best at it either.

Let's be real, everyone's favorite Creepcast episodes are probably the ones filled with them doing really funny bits and suffering through terrible stories, the episodes where they're reading an okayish story and going "wow this story is good!" I entirely tune out because it'd take me a quarter of the time to just read the story itself without someone in my ears stopping to remind me to like it.

It was pretty fun seeing Wendigoon being the one crashing out while Hunter's trying to be fair to the story this time. (He was getting a little TOO visibly interested in gay farm sex, though...)
